Someone should let Gavin know that eating more meals a day is better than stuffing your face twice a day with crap. You can trick your body if you spread the calories out that way. Even more so it needs to be decent food, beans on toast WTF?

Who are you pal? You obvious have some involvement in the game as you seem to know a lot of stories about a few boxers within Manchester, you kept on telling Arnie and Frankie a while back they'll soon find out who you are.

Why don't you just come out with it and let people know who you are? You know who 'tec' is, Frankie, Arnie, Bellew all come on here with their ID's public but you seem quite intent on criticising, insulting and threatening people all the while whilst being very reluctant to inform others of your own identity behind your keyboard?

Just hope the lad gets someone around him that understands nutrition on a basic level. It's shocking he's 'scared' of eating more meals a day. He doesn't even understand the basic principle that its more beneficial than 3 huge meals, he seems to think its going to hamper making weight. Eating beans and toast and a diet coke ****s half the work you just did in the gym and is no way going to repair your body optimally after work outs. Even just 5 or 6 'good quality' meals a day, and the best quality foods don't tend to be calorie dense anyway, would see a big improvement in Gavin's physique I suspect. Even better if he gets a full time conditioning coach. I half blame Frank ****** for this, one of his prized assets should have a conditioning coach, especially when he's known to be undisciplined.

I assume that Gavin is also managed by allegedly if this is the case it is the managers duty to set up the right training environment and resources for his fighter. In this case it is clear that a nutrition coach would be advisable. Is Gavin sponsored by CNP if so allegedly should be getting Kerry Kayes more involved in his nutrition. Thats how Ricky made weight all those years when blowing up inbetween fights.

Yes, whoever was behind Hatton making weight and getting into fighting shape was a miracle worker. It does feel like ****** is neglecting his duties, it was just common sense. There is no way I'd let one of my prized assets be without a conditioning coach unless I was absolutely sure they were gym rats and understood nutrition. I'd have sleepless nights.

I'm sure anybody on here could prescribe Frankie a better diet than Beans on Toast + Diet Coke. It's a bit worrying he either hasn't realized thats a bit poor or can't motivate himself to find out a better strategy off his own back. I mean Beans on Toast is just something you sling together, sounds like laziness.

Beans on toast is about 450kcal. Diet coke is 1kcal per 100ml so 5 glasses of coke and beans on toast twice a day is 905kcal a day. Gavin is 5'10. If he walks around at say, 154lb, he would need 1744kcal to maintain that weight. As is, the example is a 839kcal deficit which should mean, along with the exercise, that he'd lose weight easily.

My guess is that his metabolism has bottomed out and gone into starvation mode, basically slowing to a stop to preserve fat and muscle and that's why he struggled to make 140. Either that, or he's also stuffing his face with chips and chocolate and eating 3000kcal a day.

I'd say its more likely the latter. I think Beans on Toast was just an example of how sloppy it is rather than being his entire diet.

I have never read so much bollox in my life...:yep

There are so many people on here so critical of a person and a gym that they know nothing about...:yep Fair play to Anthony for coming on here and responding to some of the trash that has been put his way tonight...:-(

Remember who the fighters who Anthony trains are promoted by, the promoter has the pick of the paddock regarding trainers and could send his investments anywhere he wanted too...:yep

They have gone to Arnie, not much else to say really is there...:deal

If you are in business you put your best investments where they will get the best yield, this a decision that the promoter and his team will have considered very carefully. This decision will have been based on a number of factors, location, others fighters at the gym, morale of the gym, camaraderie amongst the Camp etc etc.. :yep

Moral of my post is that you put your best fighters with your best trainer...:deal
