Nah, there's a school of thought that thinks he uses it to his advantage, in that he darts in and out, under the jab and is pretty quick at LW. See the John Watson fight as an example. At FW/SFW he'd lose his speed advantage and will be the same height which will hinder him.

 

Gavin Rees vs Y Gamboa would be an interesting fight if Gamboa would travel to Wales.I still think Rees would Get a lesson in boxing.

Rees does well against tall fighters at British and European level, but Abril would be a step too far and is very tricky.

I'd say closer to 5'3 to '5 max.

 

I think Sky mentioned he is 5,4 during the Mezzache fight.

 

Be great if this happens and Rees could win it then we could have a all british unification match between Rees and burns I think that would be a great match up of styles
