apparantly if rees gets past kotelnik and khan disposes of kristjiansen this fight is to be made for later in the year.

rees is really a natural lightweight and khan is much physically bigger than rees so i would see it playing into khan's hands very much so.

Id be surprised this fight takes place I think Kotelnik beats Rees which is the likely scenario, I don't think Khan would rush into a Kotelnik fight.

Yep! Rees has not won yet against Kotelnik. Therefore he and his fans should stay calm and not count their chickens before they are hatched.
Rees had better keep his nose to the grindstone or he'll be in for a big surprise against Kotelnik.
I for my part wont bet a single coin on him anyway!Kotelnik is just the better man in almost all departments.Cant really see Rees win his encounter with Kotelnik.

I doubt Rees will still be champion after Saturday. We'll see if Kahn calls out Kotelnik.

It's nothing but media hype. It wasn't a month ago when Khan said he's gonna stay in the LW division for at least 18 months.

Kotelnik will take the title away from Rees unless he gets the same treatment from the judges like in the Witter fight... Kotelnik is a very skilled boxer, expect him to win at least 8 rounds... whether it will show on the cards is a good question...

Khan should focus on his LW emininator and try to get a LW title at the end of the year... then he can focus on the LWW division...

i've said all along that rees is only there for khan to eventually go and dethrone him when he gets really agitated with fwank about his world title ambitions.

hopefully rees will lose it before then, no disrespect to him.

Kotelnik is unbelievably ordinary. Rees should outwork him and win a decision.

Rees fits the Kahn bill.... smaller, light puncher and not terribly hard to hit.

The only problem Kahn would face if Rees gets past Kotelnik and he beats Rees is that he would have to fight a better standard of opponent when champ, and is he ready yet?

What's Khan going to do win it then vacate it and go back to fighting chumps? I thought he wanted to win a lightweight title and be a multi-division champ. It looks like he wants to get out of lightweight as soon as possible - there are some good fighters there.

:lol:Kotelnik, the ordinary fighter, was robbed of two deserved victories against Witter and Mbaye on British soil.
Kotelnik ordinary,eh? And what about Rees? Biggest talent in Great Britain for the last 40 years?
Dont make me laugh! Kotelnik won a medal at the olmypic games, and not your great hero Rees.

No way did he deserve to win Vs Witter, he did nothing but cover up for 6 rounds then actually try to fight late.

He didn't do much against M'Baye either but M'Baye didn't do much himself so that was rightfully a draw.

Thought Khan's fight against Kristjiansen was a WBO eliminator, waste of WBO sanction fees then.
