    Just read on the general that this fight might happen next for the vacant WBA title.

    Who wins in your opinion?

    Abril shouldn't have too many problems outboxing Rees to a clear points win.

    i like rees but abril wins this pretty easy imo, no disrespect to rees just a class or two above

    Should Rees try to get a fight with Burns vs Mitchell winner instead for a title?

    He would be the underdog either way.

    Heard Abril said that nobody wants to fight him so he may have to come to the UK which would explain the Rees world title fight, the height difference between them will be massive :lol:

    Boxrec say is Rees 5,7 although I am geussing that is clearly wrong after seeing he last fight seems more 5,4/5,5.

    5,7 with heels on maybe Rees is a dwarf.


    Abril will probably be too slick for him, he will have a massive height and i guess reach advantage over Gavin

    Rios couldn't connect or open up Abril, so no offence to Rees who has proved he is a very good operator, but I can see nothing but a wide UD

    Abril would win every round and make Rees look silly, Derry was outboxing Rees early on and Abril is a level above, wouldn't be surprised to see 120 - 108 on all three scorecards or perhaps Abril even forcing a late stoppage after Rees becomes frustrated and fatigued.

    i like Rees but he coulda tried to get someone else hes gonna get completely schooled, nice to see Abril gettin a decent fight after the Rios robbery

    Rees uses his height to his advantage though! I think Abril is getting built up too much after one albeit very good showing against Rios.

    There were lots of reasons why Rios performed badly though.

    There was, but Abril holds solid win over Acosta and his 3 losses are all SD extremely questionable, the Rios one being the worst decision in years.
