The Calzaghe camp have talked in the papers this morning that they are talking to Team Hatton for a bout to take place in May.

So Hatton will take this, he will go to try and clean out the division with the easiest first, and I have no hard feeling if Hatton took this fight makes sense, and to get a title early on would add more to a fight with Witter or Malignaggi.

But I am pissed at the Calzaghe camp and Warren for pushing this fight, they knew what ever way they went Rees was losing the title to Kotelnik, if I were him I would be really disgusted, Kotelnik is a great prospect who has been dealt very **** hands, being robbed by judges against M'baye, then seeing his fight being called off, to be pushed back, Warren making shitty excuses, now looks like the fight wont take place at all, I dont see how this is good for boxing.

I would like to See Hatton smash Rees up as the fraud he is.

Amazingly Ree`s is now ranked in the top 5 at 140.As for Hatton he doesnt deserve a title fight. His a cherry picker.Ree`s camp should tell him to **** off.Its a shame theres so much money on the line.

Hmmthis is a bad match up. This would just see Rees getting a payday nothing more. Britain has a better title holder at 140 and a much more credible oponent in Junior Witter, thats the fight he should be looking for, Ricky is loved by people over here he doesnt wanna finish his career with a huge question mark hanging around his neck - What about Junior Witter?!

    Hatton KO 4 Rees

Rees is a lightweight who has done well to achieve anything at 140 let alone a WBA title. Fair play.

I think he would be more dominant force if he could get down to 135, there are some big fights there Katsidis, Diaz...abnd most notably money wise, Amir Kahn.

This is the handy work of Warren, I dont think the Hatton camp are the ones pushing, I think they would accept though, but Warren just trying to get as much money possible out of Rees cause he is losing the title whatever for me to Hatton or Kotelnik.

hatton only lost 1 fight and that was to p4p no.1 fighter in the world up at 147, he is undefeated at 140 and still recognised no.1.

If hopkins got a shot at tarver after losing 2 fights at 160 then surely hatton can get a title fight at 140 ?

    :hey

Agreed. But you dont go from making the biggest purse of your career vs the best guy on the planet to a domestic operator who happens to hold a world title.Thats shambolic and totally indicative of what Hatton thinks of his fans.

I think he should have a nice easy one after the mayweather fight :patsch most other fighters do and if he can pick up an alphabet title at the same time good for him.

To suggest Hatton does not deserve a title shot at 140 is ridiculous. In case you dumb ****s had not realised, he is the man at the weight already. The real question is which of the 'champs' deserve a shot at Hatton?

Could leave the door open for Witter to call out Malignaggi again.

He thinks they're football fans with superficial knowledge of boxing at best and hes right.

He also thinks that they will come in their droves to watch him fight anyone.

And hes right about that too.

Hence the large number of mediocre fights.
