These fight's take place, because nobody else will fight each other. With Khan, we have Maidana, who released a statement saying he want's to fight Khan, then we have Khan saying "i want to fight Maidana, but i'd much rather fight JMM" I do like balance in an argument, in Floyd v Manny threads i actually post pro's and con's for BOTH fighters.
And look how he responds. Regardless of the level of his opponent, he got caught with a good shot. Didn't seem hurt at all. His legs were beneath him when he got up. Can we say the same for Khan after his kd's? I think that club fighter looked below average, his problem was obviously taking it back, Maidana was caveman-esque clubbing him down and the opponent couldn't offer anything back. However, I hope none of Maidanas detractors were Valero admirers, because he was as painful, and with lesser opposition.
Where do I give Bradley or Campbell a pass? This is a thread about Khan not the other two. So your line is, they're all at it so why should Khan be any different? The difference I see is that Khan can't shut up about how he would destroy this guy and that guy and then turns around and fights non threats like Salita and Malignaggi. If Bradley and Campbell were shouting their mouths off about destroying everyone in the division and then ducking their mandatories they would get the same **** thrown at them. If the Marquez fight was an exception I would give Khan a pass but it's clearly not as he is consistently taking the path of least resistence.
I know. I'm not one of those that are too sceptical over Maidana's punch resistance. Yeah, he got floored by a non-hitting journeyman, but as you say he reacted well to it and was on steady legs. Then he was floored a few times by Ortiz who, with Bailey going up to Welter, has a claim to being the biggest puncher at the weight IMO. He was hurt, but he got up and again showed good powers of recovery. His chin isn't great, but then it isn't that bad either IMO.
@Kos:Agreed. I don't see Khan finding it easy to dissuade him anyway. Ice, well I'm glad it made sense to you :good
Bradleys comp has not exactly been stellar but he was signed up to fight Madaina was he not? Alexander had Urango,Kotelnik and is due to fight Bradley next(hopefully) These guys are not as guilty as Amir IMO.
we dont know what khans mental state will be when he face's a big puncher. will he let his hands go so freely or will he go gun-shy, scared to get counted
