i think he's right, in that respect, khan is like mayweather, being that people would pay to see him get knocked out:good

    (not saying he would tho)

True, which is good for Khan. His hate only makes him more money. Good on him.

I watched Khan go life and death in sparring with Ronnie Heffron and others so it is no shock that this Benavidiz kid is pushing him, Everyone is raving on this kid cos Freddie Roach says he's great!! Well the guy trains him so he's not exactly gonna say he's **** is he:roll:.. If he was as special as everyone is saying then why didn't he do it in the am's?? He was beaten on the domestic scene if Im correct??? Gavin is a PROVEN world class boxer!! Winning a world championship confirms that!!

Let's not forget when you talk about Gavin your talking about are ONLY world am champion, The first man to defeat Tishenko in 3 years!! The regining Olympic,European & World Champion!!

What is it in this country that makes us always back yanks against are own, We are every bit as good as them, People seem to forget the likes of Benn giving hidings out to the likes of Iran Barkley!! The yanks thought he would murder Benn, Then they brought over Gerald McClenann, Who at the time I was obsessed with. Yet Benn survived and showed the yanks what a top british fighter is capable of..

We have top fighters in this country who are HOME grown talents, Taught in UK gyms and off UK coaches yet we never give them credit. Haye,Froch,Khan,Calzaghe,Hamed. These guys have all beaten top yanks.

We also go on about there trainers like they are some kind of messiah's?? We have coaches here that are every bit as good as there's.. Tibbs,McCracken,Farnell,Sims,Gallagher,Coldwell,Booth I could go on!! It's time we appreciated are own boxers and seen them for what they exactly are, World class fighters & trainers!!

Last one, I think I know as much about boxing as the next man and I'd bet my bottom dollar that Frankie Gavin would do a number on Benavidiz!!!:good

Trust me, Khan vs Maidana would be huge in Britain. It would do massive PPV numbers. Malignaggi didnt create that much intrest in the UK. They have the fight to ITV for nothing for **** sake. Think before you speak dude.

Sky would have put it on PPV if they were given the fight. Plus, the Malignaggi fight didn't generate as much interest as it could (even though it got decent viewing figures for the time it was on) because Sky weren't there to promote it - the fight received next to no promotion from ITV.

Khan vs Maidana wouldn't have done massive figures either - Maidana isn't a big name at all.

Khan vs Maidana would do bigger numbers than Khan vs Malignaggi purely because there is a chance Khan could get KO'd by Maidana and a lot of people will pay to see that whereas his last fight was pointless as he was never going to lose.

A lot of people are real high on Bemavidez because he apparently pushed Khan hard in sparring. Which says more about Amir than Benavidez IMO.

Apparently he stood his ground with Pacquiao too, but like someone else said it doesn't mean much as everyone in that gym will be standing their ground with Pacquiao. But his 120-5 amateur record is impressive.
