I still don't think Khan can blow Maidana away quickly, and I don't think he can avoid getting hit for however long the fight lasts.

People really aren't high on Maidana and his limitations are clear. The limitations of Khans punch resistance, and the fact he isn't a fluid defensive boxer IMO (at least he hasn't proved it yet against an out-and-out offensive fighter with a decent dig) outweighs Maidanas shortcomings IMO.

Why is that BS? It's an absoulute fact that over the years US fighters are way better than UK fighters.

Because he beat Benavidez 3 or 4 times in the AM's and has also turned pro and is **** hot.

When you watch UK based prospects especially the one's getting a big push...Gavin and Degale you never think after WOW i cannot wait to see them again, they were awesome. But when you see a top notch prosepct in the states like Benavidez fight, i want to see more because he really excites. I like to see punches thrown with bad intentions from the off or at least know the prospect is capable of genuinely KO'ing someone badly, not getting a BS ref stoppage, that is just my preferance and i appreciate that it might not be everyones.

Oh come on when you see Frankie fight can you not admire his skills??? Frankie in my opinion is the most exciting prospect around at the moment to watch.

Yes his skill is good, but i like fearsome fighters which Frankie is not and never will be, he is just a good technical boxer.

I agree with this, US fighters seem to have more of an edge to them. They have the skill and the killer instinct that a lot of British fighters don't have.

There are a lot of people that like technical boxers that follow the philosophy of 'hit and not get hit'

One of the best fighters in the world today (Mayweather) is hardly described as 'fearsome'

So yeah, there are fans for both fearsome and technical fighters.

Don't twist the facts...Maidana was Khans mando but the fight didn't happen for well documented reasons other than Khan ducking him.

Including the incredible Bobby Hill, who you think is better than the likes of Peter McDonagh, Steve Saville and Gavin Tait. Here is the video footage to prove your point:

And of course his boxing record:

    Just stunning.

That being the case then we should be screaming for a Bradley or Alexander fight...Maidana is at least one level below these men. For all the talk about Khans chin at least AK hasn't been put on his arse by a man with a 10% KO ratio...**** sakes, the man was outboxed and outworked by Kotelnik.

Maidana looks like he throws through treacle, has Frankenstein footwork and dodgy whiskers, the only thing going for him is a decent bang but thats just not enough to claim that he is anywhere near "the best" in the division. Maidanas right hand is being used by Khan detractors as a stick to beat him with. I would back Paulie to completely bamboozle Maidana even at this stage of his career. I honestly think that those people who big up Marcos have never actually seen him fight.

As for Benavidez v Gavin, I can't really comment as I have never seen him fight, although his record against a few cans would suggest that he carries a bit of power
