I love the way it's turned from Gavin v Benavidez to Amir Khan lol...

First of all, Gavin v Benavidez, trying to say who'd win now would be stupid, they're both learning, both building their name and both are nowhere near the pinnacle of their talents.

In my opinion in the talent stakes i'd pick Benavidez, i'm not saying that Gavin is'nt talented, that'd be stupid, but i'd go for Benavidez. I think he'll go on to accomplish much more in his pro career than Gavin will too.

    As for Khan...

The reason Khan v Malignaggi never got good viewing numbers was because...
    A) It was'nt promoted over here very well
    B) The way the British public seen it was "Who want's to see Khan fight a guy Ricky Hatton boshed all over

I think Maidana and Khan would do good PPV numbers, in America and in the UK...

it's promoted and sold right, it could be huge. People in the UK buy Amir Khan fight's, because they want to see him get knocked out, and if when promoting the fight they focus on Maidana's biggest threat (his power), people will tune in knowing he has the power to take Khans head off.

I agree with above, they can't use the "his name is'nt big enough" shite because they fought Salita. They can't use the "we only fought Salita as he was mandatory" shite because so is Maidana.

I really think Khan is avoiding him, as i said in another thread, if Khan really wanted Salita badly, as he proclaims, he'd fight Salita, end of.

You should really get up to speed with Maidanas problems with his manager, thats the real reason that Marcos didn't push his position as Khans mando.

Nah' i know the position and trouble Maidana had with his manager, which is why it's understandable it had'nt been pushed.

But if i remember right, aint the managerial problem's sorted now and Maidana has actually come out and said he want's to fight Khan?

I think that the managerial problems have been sorted, but I don't know who Maidana wants to fight. If he is still Khans mando then he can push the fight and if Khan doesn't take it he will have to vacate. Khan hasn't vacated so I can only assume that Maidana hasn't pushed the fight

I'll tell you why it's BS, Just look at one of there brightest prospects the other night in Daniel Jacobs.. If you compare are countries in size then we can compete with them all day long, Our country dominates europe and Europe is far bigger than the US, We have fighters in nearly every weight that are world class fighters.. I agree they have the standout stars in Mayweather,Hopkins and maybe a few others but we also have great fighters such as Haye,Froch,Khan,Macklin not to mention are up coming guys such as Gavin,Smith,Cleverly,Quigg and many more.. Are fighters and trainers are every bit as good as there's!!

I've only seen Benavidez in sparring, I've seen all of Frankie's fights, I know there is more to Frankie's game than getting in close working the body.

What I've of Frankie has impressed me, he been in some decent fights therefore on that evidence alone, I'm going with Frankie.

Tony Bellew tellng the truth...we promote fights better, we pay 99 percent of our fighters better, our safety procedures are better...there are young stars all over the place but, as Tony has said and I have been banging on about for years, we fall in love with the first fast young American fighter we see. It's ludicrous.
We are blind to our own genius: Tibbs with Mitchell beating Prescott; Brendan Ingle's conveyor belt; Enzo Calzaghe's maverick ways; Warren's promotional skills; Hatton's drawing power; McCracken/Edwards and their amateur success; Brian Hughes and his decades of saving kids; Hearn's Prizefighter; our fans!!!

It's not a case of...I can **** higher than you...It's just a case of please, don't turn your back on British boxing because somebody in LA/Yonkers/Philly/Vegas claims to have found the new Ali etc.

    Adios.

When the whole Khan Bradley Twitter **** was going on, Maidana sent something to the scene telling Khan that he's the mandatory so he want's to fight.

But then again there's the "conspiracies" than Maidana has a contract saying he can't fight Khan for 3 fights, so nobody know's what's going on lol

Maidana is not allowed to fight Khan untill Khan has had two more fights. He got paid quite a bit to stay out of his way.

I aint saying it was either of them. I seen the thing about Bradley saying he does'nt even have a Twitter, it would'nt suprise me if it was actually Khan considering he does have a twitter.

I'm just saying when Maidana seen it, he sent a message to the scene saying that he is Khan's mandatory and he wanted to fight. Wether it was them or not is irrelivent, Maidana obviously want's it, but wether contracts, etc get in the way remains to be seen

steve no offence mate but you more then any1 else was building up kevin mitchell as the next big thing out of londons eastend after he beat prescott you made it sound at the time prescott was an undefeated fighter when he met kevin forgetting that only a previous fight ago he was beaten by a little known mexican fighter.
