Gavin vs Chaves

It was never really announced, just put on the Boxnation schedule, a few days later I think Chaves was replaced with Horta and then Gavin pulled out.

 

See these are the kind of fights that make no sense to me. I would rather see Gavin in there with a former title challenger on the way out, or an ex World Champ who is on the way out. What is the point of taking some relative unknown, who if you beat will most probably be forgotten about and seen as gimme fight down the line, and if you lose cause he turns out to be better than anticipated, will of taken the shine off your potential in the eyes of fans.

I know why Fwank does it, cause places like that are not really a hotbed of Boxing with a few notable exceptions over the years, so he's probably anticipating he's just a guy who has a nice looking record on paper, but a guy who's record is padded. I think he did the same thing with Prescott, only it backfired, cause Prescott turned out to be the kind of puncher he looked on paper.

I know Gavin's coming back after being inactive, but atleast get him in there with someone who is known to the Boxing public. Fwank must have a monopoly on Latvian, Hungarian, and Polish fighters.
