Great fight for Hefron, an opportunity to make a name for himself. As for Gavin, it's yet another pointless fight, does nothing to develop him forward to British, European class. He gets paid yes, but the career stagnation continues.

This would make more sense if it was a title fight or an eliminator for a big title but it aint so it makes little sense. That being said Frankie seems fine with it and from the comments from the folk around Hefron I'm guessing he's fine with it so lets just hope they receive some good cash for the fight

Tony bellew when its all said and done will only be good for 1 thing and thats talking up a fight. he talked his way into fighting for a world title after showing till that point he was a Ok domestic level operator who was not worthy of world title contention.
he talked up the ovil mckenzie rematch and proceed to give his own fans 12 **** rounds and then claimed it was sweet science :patsch, as if such **** performance was worthy of praise. Now he's here diminishing arnie the same guy who brought him along in his first dozen fights.

Bet he's ****ing devastated by that news! Bet he's crying into his Lonsdale belt and blowing his nose on his matchroom contract. What's the point in having a huge following in your home town, multiple sky tv dates and the respect of the British boxing community if some no-Mark you've never met can't stand you! Crushing news for Tony!

its up to the lads at the end of the day if it was me in the situation i wouldnt take it, but its not me.

i think its all wrong for them from a personal point of view and from a carrer point of view maybe a couple of years down the line see were theyre at then match them but one of them is going to take a set back so early in there promising careers.

i love hearing there point of view and think its great they take the time to comment on here and from what i read all sound like top lads esp bellew always talks sense.

but like i say i dont agree or like it, id personally pull out its not about bottleing it, its looking out for your family but who am i? a nobody! things could go well for both have a good fight get paid well and both progress but things could get very messy personally and professionaly.

Im a bit dumb founded by what Fisheyes was thinking when making this fight, why would he put two of his unbeaten fighters together early in their careers? its not like him to do such a thing,. there must be a financial reason indirectly. As for the family stuff , If the baggage has gone and they both want the fight then fair enough(but baggage can lure it head when theres tension)

this is a bollocks match up.
Bellew is spot on, everyone else just wants to see the fight between 2 very talented fighters but this is more than just a fight. Bellew knows both fighters probably good mates with the 2, so obviously is looking at the bigger picture than just the fight.
    The fight shouldnt happen.
Is Heffron not fighting Liam Smith now then?
I think Gavin is at a different level to Heffron anyway, Let Heffron concentrate on Smith and get Gavin in with Purdy.
Imagine how there family would feel come fight night?

Fair play to you frankie I think people will respect you if you get the win. He's a really good kid heffron I was really impressed when I watched him from ringside recently.

Frankie should be too good on paper but it's a tough fight fair play... Maybe all the out of ring problems you've had to overcome will serve a purpose for this fight.
