The lad had so much hype coming into the pro game (And rightly so) but his career so far has looked pretty mediocre. What (iyo) does he need to do within the next 12-18 months to get it up to speed? To get back on track etc? Not a dig thread, as he is an awesome talent on his day.
i reckon frankie needs to settle at welter & now hes changed to tibbs i can see him getting to where people expect him to be!!
Fight. At every opportunity provided. 11 fights in 2 and a half years is not good enough. Nothing prepares you like rounds in the ring, IMO.
the problem is what he does outside of the ring. his diet. sort that and he can get to the top but evidence so far shows us he wont.
I really dont see the big deal about Gavin,he has good timing and is relatively skillfull but doesnt seem that quick, has no power, and at times looks like he is trying to copy Pernell Whitaker,i cant see him ever winning a world title, maybe im totally wrong but its just how i see it..
I don't really see where he's gone off track tbh. There was an overeaction to the Woodhouse fight, a fight he pretty much dominated and won cleanly. Yes, there's been questions over his dedication or lack thereof with the weight issues, but apart from that and as Wallet said not fighting enough, which is bound to stunt his growth (no pun intended) he's well and truly on track to fulfill his potential. Just depends on how big one thinks that potential is. I think if he picks up a strap has a few defenses, in a Maurice Hope type of career then he would've done well. If he goes the way of Francisco Bojado then it's another story...but i don't see anything to suggest he's another Bojado.
Live and breathe the art and scence of health and fitness If he does , its all gonna come together for Franky ..................
Bumped into Frankie today as I was driving past TKO..... He looks very fit and Im sure the Tibbs family will bring the best out of him but in the ring and also on the nutrition side. Thanks for the picture Frankie :thumbsup
Just had a quick chat with Frankie. What a nice bloke, I honestly mean that. Very honest and very dedicated! I'll write up my article and let you's have a sneak peak.
Frankie, how have you found the lack of inactivity in the pro game compared to the amateur game mate? Killer or what?
