Inactivity in young fighters is one of my biggest gripes in the game today. It's so counterproductive. I understand why it's happening though. TV/Promoters are not willing to offer enough dates and smaller shows are not gonna pay the fighters enough for what they've signed on for.

Frankie, you can say you're gonna start being more active from now on and in the next couple of years, but the damage has already been done. You see, there's a short window of development that you have to take advantage of. Taking action after three years is like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.

Well Frankie Sparring with the likes of Mitchell and Saunders must surely be helping you in different ways, hopefully once youve grown into the weight, your power may improve, has done for the likes of Prince Aaron.

I love how people can proclaim Frankie Gavin won't win a world title in an age where Ricky Burns is a world champion.

Gavin won't win world honours because he's just not good enough, not by a long way. Frank, i'm sorry but its true, I sincerely hope that you prove me wrong (WBO bollocks doesn't count)

PS: Burns will beat Kat....its written in the ****** stars

And he'll still get smashed, sad to say. It's all about levels and a guy that ate the slow, predictable Martinez's punches will not get out of the way of Michael's.

just made a thread about this being a good year for Frankie.

    October vs Diego Gabriel Scaves??

December vs Michael Jennings (British Title Eliminator)

February vs Lee Purdy (British title)

April vs Nate Campbell (WBO Inter - Continetal)

July vs Yassine El Maachi (British title)

Campbell's finished. It would just be a name on his record and nothing more... I guess Frank will be making the fight then.

See sometimes in Boxing, things really are simple. IMO with regards to the 2 boxers being mentioned in this thread it really is as simple as this.......

Frankie Gavin will go on to World Honours (at least)
Ricky Burns is going to get hurt against Katsidis.
