Its not very often that I say this, but that really is a completely pointless fight....should save on airfare and just drag Buckley out of retirement

 

Isn't the key point here for Frankie to be fighting again within 6 weeks of this fight?

If he has no choice, due to the withdrawl, then blow this Eurobum out early and make another fight in the short term.
This only becomes a huge problem if Frankie isn't back out before the end of the year.

 

It's at the point now where Frankie needs to take a massive step up and either sink or swim. It's too late to go the British-Commonwealth-Euro route. At this rate, he'd be 30 by the time he get's a Euro fight. Time to Fwank to fork out a few bob and for Frankie to jump into the deep end.

I agree. Woodhouse gave him a real test, Lomax at least tried just wasn't good enough technically but he should be fighting some decent names now, Lynes, Witter or some decent Euro Level fighters he needs fights quickly otherwise his time is going to come and go. I could see him ending up like Witter talented but never getting the chance till really late in the day. junior did well to get a belt when he sparked Harris but he was probably in the late stages of his prime by then... It would be great to see someone as skilled as Frankie on the big stage at his best against the best his division has to offer. Id love to see him in against Maidana (at somepoint) would be a great clash of styles

Great shout, Bundu is a solid operator, but if Frankie is the talented fighter we think he is, he should win.

 

Very poor fight for Gavin, feel for the lad, he should be mixing at european level by now but he has had a bit of bad luck.

Hopefully his personal problems are behind him and he can get cracking.

 

im not happy with opponent either but gonna get on with it i keep getting two weeks notice been promised a fight in july title an i no witters camp mentioned me so its the fight what should be made an bundu eurochamp is someone else i would look at also im doing well in gym now got a decenty chin so dont mind fighting big hitters i got told i was fighting witter with 11 days notice last time an jonsey no visa problems with me or criminal record mate
