Then it because I have the audacity to say that "Duddy/Lee/Macklin KO Barker" - I think they would, I dont "constantly" say it, I have said it in the past, I will say it in the future because that is my opinion. Do you have a pop at English posters that think Duddy is a bum? I have heard many English poster claim (unchallenged) that Duddy is a hype job bum, but that slides on by - but then some says that Barker might not be the next SRL and you have a bítch fit!

I'm disappointed in Scotland only sending ONE guy, well maybe there was only one guy ABLE to compete well enough, in all honesty.

i think Amatuer boxing in Scotland is sub-par, way below most other countries. I was reading an old Boxing News were Terry Edward proclaimed England as 'the new Cuba' in terms of amatuer boxing. Now England is putting alot of money into their boxing programme, from the grass roots level to the top class 'Podium Team'. Apparently last year England's boxing budget had £4million left over, how much must have they got in the first place?

Whereas, in Scotland we have very little. From first hand experiance most of the oppertunites are all down in the Central Belt whereas other places suffer because of this. And they do not have the budget, The Scottish team is well looked after just no 'the wee men', as in the guys who arnt at that level yet or perhaps never will be, but they are the base in which boxing has to be built from, improve them and improve the calibre of everyone.

Saying that though after watching the British Schoolboys Championships afew months ago, Scotland actually produced a lot of good boxers, however the Scottish teams knowledge of the scoring system seemed limited, as the English team actually were finely in tune with the scoring and as a result they got more medals. Now boxing should go back to boxing - who the better boxer is, not who can master the scoring better. But it is not changed and Scotland have to adapt to the scoring.

'Team GB' I wish, perhaps the budget could be spread evenly over the 4 Nations Boxing programmes, rahter than each having their own seperate Association. It can only be good for the sport in general IMO. (yes, Paddy my nationalism again.)
