Tom Stalker through to semis as well. It was 2-2 at the end but he was awarded the nod.

Thats 4 lads from England through :good

Anyone know if the Welsh lad Selby won?

For a point to score, the judges have to press the button within one second of each other. Obviously, sometimes one judge will hit his button, but another judge won't see the shot, and not hit his button.

If it's a draw, they look at each judges total hits to determine who got the most.

This is my understanding of it anyway.

You'd be aswell just make up two random numbers in your head, did Yafai look good?

I thought he would win me and Paddy had an avvy bet on it.

Thats what I thought as well.

The Welsh Lad Selby won his fight 4-1.

So thats 5 British and 5 Irish all guaranteed a medal, its been a stellar effort so far, hopefully both teams can add a few silvers and gold to their tally.

Right, Red and Blue corner for example the scores in the bout come out to 4-4.

The judges individual score is this for blue corner:

    5
    7
    3
    8
    4

    For the Red corner:

    9
    3
    6
    5
    5

For the Blue corner you would take the highest score (8) and subtract the lowest score (4), giving you 4.

    For the red corner its the same 9 - 3 = 6

As Blue corner's score is lower they win the countback.

He looked good, seemed to be trying to lay traps for Nevin which worked occasionally when Nevin went for the head but he had no answer to John Joes body punching.

I really thought it was a lot lot closer than 7-1 but as i said my stream kept dying, think it was 0-0 for most of the first then when it came back it was 3-0 Yafai so he could of done a lot of work which i didn't see.
