Just peeked at the RBR, you had it a draw (saying 115-113 either way's fine). :sisi1

I only caught the second half, but it was competitive. But yeah, not all 117-111 and 118-110 range UD's are created equal.

    Round 1 Hovhannisyan 10-9

Bombs away, Azat beat him to the punch for most of the rounds, and landed the better shots.

    Round 1

Hovhannisyan is jabbing in om Manzanilla, pretenses to gain entry inside and loop shots on the body, then sliding upright behind a shell to block counter jabs. Manzanilla squats and tries a 1-2 downstairs. Hovhannisyan is spearing lead rights beneath Manzanilla's left elbow, landing on the stomach, and falling in with a swatting follow-up left hook. Manzanilla is creeping sideways along the ropes, pawing out a tentative defensive jab all the way out from his armpit, leaving his mandible fully exposed in between jabs, perhaps baiting Hovhannisyan in before ducking and ramming headfirst into his chest when Hovhannisyan comes waving hooks at him. Long jabs outside by Manzanilla, virtually all hitting the forearms. Body shots by Hovhannisyan. A few in reply by Manzanilla diving in.

    10-9 Hovhannisyan

    Round 1 Hovhannisyan 10-9
    Round 2 Hovhannisyan 10-9

Big round for Azat, he rocked him badly and followed up with sustained attack. Still beating him to the punch, Azat's hands are far faster. It's turning into a leaping left hook fest from Crazy A.

    Round 2

Hovhannisyan trades jabs with Manzanilla for a few seconds, lulling him, and then CLAPS him upside the head with a cannonball right. Several more, just spamming them in, rocking Manzanilla on shaky legs. Manzanilla is able to weave his way inside unctuously and cling to Hovhannisyan, but is backed off with a series of vicious underhanded body chops. Hovhannisyan again hurts Manzanilla with a right up top. Another clinch by Manzanilla. Diving right on the belt line by Manzanilla, hoping to parlay that into another clinch but Hovhannisyan swats him away with a left hook against his temple. Manzanilla running. Hovhannisyan jumping in and out chipping at the body with uppercuts from both sides. Manzanilla putting everything into desperate counter-thrust jabs.

    10-9 Hovhannisyan, dominant, almost 10-8

    20-18 Hovhannisyan

I'm going senile already, if not for the record of posterity I'd probably have no idea what fights I've even watched at this point.

I think Hov gets rid of him within 5 rounds, will be surprised if not.

WTF? The live stream is down to just 2k viewers...in the main event, between recent world title contenders.

At the broadcast's peak, during the Valentín fight, it was nearly double that. Man, those boricuas sure do love their hyped-up prospects (however unproven...remember the droves that would turn out for Verdejo early in his career? :shakehead:)

I just checked Azat's birth chart. He's a Leo Sun, Virgo Moon and Aries Mars. That's basically a shook up version of me, I'm an Aries, Virgo Moon, Leo Mars. And he fights pretty much exactly how I would with the same unbridled arrogance and cockiness.:sisi1

    Round 3

Hovhannisyan is wailing on Manzanilla pretty consistently, but is hemorrhaging energy very inefficiently. Too much barreling from end to end of the ring, jumping in to attack - unnecessary extra movements galore. Just a kinetic blur, and could probably win the round just as clearly with less than a quarter the motion. :nusenuse:

    10-9 Hovhannisyan

    30-27 Hovhannisyan

Manzanilla stupidly allows himself to be hung out to dry on the ropes, Hovhannisyan belting him with those left upper-hooks into the ribs and then clobbering down on the other side with the axing right. Manzanilla lucky to survive the fourth. Another damn near 10-8 even without a KD.

    40-36 Hovhannisyan

edit: no, I take it back, he did score one, just at the bell. 10-8, 40-35. NO SCRATCH THAT, MANZANILLA REFUSED TO EVEN TRY BEATING THE COUNT!!

    KO4!

    Round 1 Hovhannisyan 10-9
    Round 2 Hovhannisyan 10-9
    Round 3 Hovhannisyan 10-9
Round 4 Hovhannisyan wins by KO4

Azat's whipping that ass from pillar to post. He's going to get his KO5 if he keeps this up. Edit: He got it a round early!!!
