as you may or may not know im a big fan of ODLH but looking at his fight against mayweather and the JC V BH fight where it is obvious to all (except nuthuggers)who w on there has been 1judge who scored it diffe rently making it a SD instead of a MD.do you think this is deliberate to make a re-match more probable so that GBP can make more $$$$.or am i a farmboxer type conspiracy theory type headcase?

I think you're being a head case :) Both of those fights were close. The Hopkins v Calzaghe fight was difficult to score due to the contrast in styles and whether you favoured the busier and more aggressive Calzaghe, or the more accurate B Hop.

I think u are going too far with this conspiracy stuff.
I had Calzaghe & Mayweather winning in relatively close fights.
The Calzaghe fight was especially difficult to score & i can see why some saw De La Hoya winning on ineffective aggression.

Still tho i prefer Top Rank as a promoter than Golden Boy.
When u got some of my fav fighters like Miguel Cotto, Kelly Pavlik, Manny Pacquaio & Antonio Margarito...u just cant go wrong for excitement.:deal

There may be a little bias there but there is a little bias everywhere.

You could have had wide ranging scores depending on what you like in those fights.
Though I thought neither should have been an SD.

At the end of the day , styles make fights & people will always have their own perception of what style wins a round.

I had the DLH/Mayweather fight fairly close, but I also had Calzaghe easily winning against Hoppy. Though as has been already mentioned, I can see how there could be some discrepencies with the scoring. It's not as if both fighters were doing the same thing to one another but one fighter was doing it more each round.

Stiffler, if this is your thread thats supposedly going to get you banned, then I must say it's a bit of a poor effort.

Better you make a thread about Mankind being a kiddy fiddler or something like that. :good

Yeah, they open to very subjective scoring... More so than your standard fight

Hopkins could be seen as winning the early rounds on most peoples cards, but re-watching will show Calzaghe landed alot more and while he struggled to find his game, arguably won the whole fight... But if you consider that Hopkins controlled the clinching and pace of the early rounds, and kept Joe VERY timid after the KD you could suggest he won the early rounds, which was my initial thought... Given the low count of solidly landed shots through out the entire fight it is easy to see how you can go either way... Joe was the dominant figure for most of the fight and got the win...

PBF/DLH - DLH looked the aggressor and like he was running the fight, PBF was landing clean, well timed shots and stayed out of any serious danger for 12 rounds. Once again leading to subjective scoring...

There was another controversial decision not so long ago given to a GBP fighter on a GBP card - was it Demetrius Hopkins? :huh

Anyway, I reckon there will always be controversial decisions, regardless of who is promoting the fight.

However, one promotor you can count on for robbery is Don King :yep
