well ****, chavez jr and canelo would make far more money than canelo and cotto. why dont they make that fight?

is it because jr would hold almost every advantage just like canelo will hold every advantage against cotto?

    nobody wants to see canelo/cotto.

they want to see canelo fight the guy that called him out in front of 100's of thousands of people and made him look like a little ***** in the process.

well maybe all these canelo nuthuggers have stock options on canelo and gbp and will benefit financially every time he wins a fight?

who in their ****ing right mind wants to see a champion fighting someone coming off two losses and clearly out of his weight class than going against an undefeated fighter competing in his proper weight class?

how about we make a bet on the fight if it happens? we can do it right now.

ill take canelo and you can have cotto.

what kind of odds do you think that it will be, you know, since it will be a "good, competetive fight" as you say.

just curious, what do you consider a good competitive fight to go off at?

    canelo -100,-150,-200,-250,-300,-350,-400,-450,-500?

my opinion is that a good competitive fight would be priced at no more than -200. does that sound fair to you?-200?

canelo has yet to be priced at anything less than -800.

in his most credible win, ryan rhodes, he was priced at -900

    cintron -800

    mosely-875

    gomez -1300

    lopez -2000

    rhodes -900

he fights trout he goes off at an overpriced -300.

Damn Canelo vs Trout sound like an interesting fight. But of course as always, these promotional companies let the fans down. It´s obvious GBP have no confidence in Canelo yet.

Both TR and GB make a mockery out of the concept of a ranking system.

Canelo/Lara even has the benefit of 'cheating' TR out of the rematch with Martirosyan. I'm sure GBP could get it declared the mandatory defense. This **** happens all the time.

I'd be happy with Canelo-Lara... That's much better than Cotto-Canelo! Why are you so worried about Top Rank being cheated? Top Rank cheats the fans all the time..

I ain't worried about nothing. I'm just pointing out the obvious plus side to that fight from GBP's point of view. You know we won't see this fight anyhow.

Cotto was always a dubious Light middleweight champion to begin with. Won against Foreman who ****ed his knee up. A pretty old Mayorga and Margarito who was disgraced and had a damaged eye. Cotto should basically just try his luck with more obscure beltholders in the division. But things are never that simple in boxing, the cash rules everything.
