Round 1

Báez is jabbing hard with a reaching-in motion lunging up on the ball of his lead foot and then circling to his left. Pérez is lying in wait, hoping to ambush him with a big overhand right but sending them whistling past the neck or shoulder every time. Báez is working some ramrod 1-2's straight into the point of the chin and then opening up with some wide power shots on the body, uppercuts followed by strapping hooks. Pérez catches him admiring his body work a bit overlong and cracks him with a hook & cross on the jaw, putting the heavily favored Báez down HARD!!!!! Wow. Báez up and snapping that jab to keep himself from getting steamrolled.
