    At what expense though?

Why boxing isn't regulated like all other sports is beyond me.

Any promoter that helps put boxing on track to be viewed by the masses for free has my support.

Free, regular events converts casuals of any sport into fans. On the rare occasion free boxing has been aired on main TV here these days it has rated very well - in the past it was shown every Saturday.

Al Haymon is a revolutionary innovator who introduced a disruptive business model to the old and stale mafia boxing model.
    Boxing to the people!
Al Haymon broke the rip-off PPV model and boxing is better for it.

Top Rank didn't exactly win either though. They settled out of court right quick when discovery was going to bring to light things they didn't want on the record.

Arum has a whole graveyard of skeletons in his closet and should be the last to cast a stone with the glass house he lives in.
Remember how vocal Arum was in saying how Haymon was guilty of violating the Ali law, yet he didn't step up to help GBP in their suit.
It won't be long until TR announces they are cooperating with Haymon and PBC.

Best statement in the judge's ruling:

“It can’t be said often enough that the antitrust laws protect competition, not competitors. … [C]ompetition is essential to the effective operation of the free market because it encourages efficiency, promotes consumer satisfaction and prevents the accumulation of monopoly profits.

“When a producer is shielded from competition, he is likely to provide lesser service at a higher price; the victim is the consumer who gets a raw deal. This is the evil the antitrust laws are meant to avert. But when a producer deters competitors by supplying a better product at a lower price, when he eschews monopoly profits, when he operates his business so as to meet consumer demand and increase consumer satisfaction, the goals of competition are served. … While the successful competitor should not be raised above the law, neither should he be held down by the law.”

In other words, Haymon delivered a better product to fans than the other promoters, at a lower price to fans, paid the fighters more than others and worked with all the promoters (including Golden Boy) to share the wealth.

Haymon is GOOD for boxing. And the other promoters may have had a case if they didn't provide a WORSE PRODUCT and CHARGE MORE for that lesser product.

He beat them at their own game ... and was still nice enough to partner with them and cut them in on deals.

So everyone who blasted Haymon for the past year can suck it.

You hit the nail squarely in it's head and drove it into the heart of the vampire!

Can you imagine the mindset (or the employer) of those who try to flame Al Haymon and PBC for bringing great boxing matches to FREE TV?
Every week there is some idiotic giggling like Snidely Whiplash how PBC is failing, that Haymon is almost broke and that the PBC model is crumbling. Surely they cannot be fans of the sweet sport of boxing but agenda driven shrills of competitors who are terrified of facing competent competition.

PBC is here to stay and bring tears to those who only thrive in the treacherous embrace of monopoly.

This. If Bob or Oscar beat Haymon at his own game they would.

I doubt it. He should have never filed that Lawsuit. He was actually exposed as having done some of the stuff he was accusing PBC of.

Do you think a white guy could come in as an outsider and step on loads of established people's toes without similar consequences?

You're putting too much stock on skin tone my friend. When it comes to people potentially losing millions of dollars people don't give a **** where you're from, they're going to come after you all the same.
