What’s sad is that some of these guys make life changing money and still come up with creative ways to potentially blow their fortune.

Examples include Filthy Rich Records, Mayweather Promotions and Cotto Promotions. Plus all the fighters who spend money on emblematic apparel (Cotto, Khan, TMT, Crawford, PAC, Canelo, I’m sure there’s more) that nobody outside of their inner circle and biggest Stans will ever pay good money for.

These expenses add up over time and yield a terrible return on investment. Although braver men than I, for risking their health for fame and fortune, a few of the guys I mentioned think they’re businessmen yet they’d insist on spelling business with a Z.

 

Jacobs can't make 6 million against anyone else. He can fight Martin Murray, Spike O'Sullivan, and David Lemieux for close to that much in total over the next year and then hope for Canelo after. He is under contract with HBO so he has easy money on the table.

It's not a bad deal, in fact thinking about it if it is 80-20 perhaps Jacobs should surprise GBP by accepting it straghtaway.

Jacobs does have the leverage to get more if the GGG talks fall through, but I still suspect it's a negotiation tactic.

On the other hand, I can't find a reputable source saying it's 80-20, the original source on Twitter also had the conditions of:
No drug testing
No weigh-in for Canelo

.... So clearly a fake!!
