Panthen cut in the 9th and rocked in round 10, but still bravely slugging away.

 

That was a banger for a random Thursday night co-main event.

 

Panthen is a pretty basic come-forward pressure fighter, but he's gutsy and entertaining. Good signing by GBP as he'll produce fireworks on undercards for a while...but I'm not sure his goal to become the next American world champ isn't a bit overly ambitious. Ngoga was better than expected but was still coming off a nearly two year layoff since his first pro loss.

I had it 96-94 (same as judge Ron Stevens). Wouldn't have been mad at either a draw or Panthen taking it with narrow 96-94 scores. Lotta close rounds in there.
