Please keep offensive language out of my thread, others have already offered refutations of that post anyway. Thanks.

I have critised both sides in the past. I'm sure most of my points might have been covered by others above, Canelo camp is in the wrong here. You can not have full dictatorship over another camp. It might be excusable if that other camp is a nobody, but GGG ain't nobody, he is a respectable unified the Man in the division.

It is normal to have 3 fights in a year as most champions did in the past. It is also normal to have 3 months promotion for mega fights.
What happened here is for one camp to have full options and restricts the other camp to have any option at all.
It is only acceptable if the September match is fully signed by both, there is no indication that it is the case.

Chavez-Canelo is a HUGE money fight for Canelo. Its also the BIGGEST fight in Mexico and in the U.S. bigger than Golovkin-Canelo.

Canelo also has multiple legacy defining fights in Trout, Lara, Cotto, and hopefully Golovkin. After Golovkin he has the doors wide open as everyone wants a piece of Canelo. He will be fighting in his prime for another 6 years which equals 12+ fights in which he should continue making money and cementing his legacy. As it stands now its already better than Golovkin's.

Golovkin on the other hand has just a couple more years max, and at 35 and being a 7 year MW champion his resume is rather sad. Golovkin NEEDS a win over a Canelo or a Ward type fighter.. This may be his last chance at a shot at an elite cash cow.. Yet his promotional company is willing to risk the opportunity for Golovkin to put that stamp on his resume??? That's a good busieness move?? Are you falkin kidding me?? Gtfo!

GBP's comment about GGG's June fight putting the Canelo fight in jeopardy is preparation for a duck - Dan Rafael.

How long is the average camp before a big fight? 3 Months

For a fight this big and this important in terms of legacy and money for Golovkin wouldn't he be better off with a clean uninterrupted camp?

If he fights in June, and then fights Canelo 3 months later, when will he have time for press tours, training, promotions and interviews etc...?

What if he's cut in the fight, or injured or even loses? GBP would lose money on the venue, promotional items, promotional airtime, and reservations for the tour etc...

Its ridiculous that Golovkin is fighting 3 months before the biggest, richest, most important fight of his life.

K2 has really falked GGGs career. He could have easily been bigger, especially when he had HBO a major American Network backing him up 100%.

Looks like K2 are content with their quarterly cut from Golovkin.

    More from Dan Rafael:

GGG vs Saunders in Kazakhstan is basically a done deal if GGG beats Jacobs, all the details are agreed but not signed yet.

It's their (K2 and Golovkin's) risk if they want to take the Saunders fight, no doubt there'll be some liability in the contract to cover the case of an injury. GBP have no right to say anything as long as Golovkin is ready to go September 16.

And three months is more than enough, neither Canelo nor GGG have 3-month long training camps. Floyd-Pac, Floyd-Canelo, Canelo-Khan, Canelo-Cotto, Canelo-Smith etc. were all announced about 3 months before the fight occurred, some even less.

Funny how all the posters who dislike Golovkin are arguing that he shouldn't take the Saunders fight, while almost all his fans and neutrals want the fight to happen.

The other thing you forget is that if GGG beats Saunders, Canelo has to face him if he wants to have a belt. You've previously argued that having a belt is important to Canelo, hence the Liam Smith fight, so clearly by beating BJS GGG would guarantee that he gets a Canelo fight in 2018.

So, all in all, if he can get Saunders, he ought to take it.

Golden Boy Promotions are getting an absolute pasting on social media about these comments, the whole world can see that it is the most farcical excuse anyone could've come up with.
