    Round 7

Duno has a point taken for a low blow, flagrant but perhaps accidental; his body shots are very sloppy, might have strayed low because of his jittery nerves, atrophying muscles and the combined resultant compromised dexterity - or he could have done it from sheer frustration, or strategically to get himself a short reprieve. Time in. Rodríguez knifing the right jab in past Duno's guard, bopping him on the nose. Duno trying big hooks, caught on the backs of Rodríguez's arms.

    10-8 Rodríguez

    68-64 Rodríguez

Duno needs to dig down deep and win these last 3 rounds to pull this fight out.

With the deduction that's still a loss on my card, he needs a knockdown to get a draw.

Rodriguez looks like he's finally starting to fade now as Duno looks to be getting a second wind.

    Round 8

Duno is looking for a big shot to seize the momentum, and he isn't able to crack that concrete skull. Duno switches tacks and tries fishing unexpectedly with a pair of stabbing blows on the flanks while Rodríguez's guard is up high. Rodríguez is hit possibly low - ruled a legitimate body shot, Rodríguez down on his knees and rides the referee's count until nine. Dangerous. Rodríguez is putting out some window-dressing, feints with the right and left as he makes Duno watch the birdie, not letting Duno pounce on him to finish him off.

    10-8 Duno

    76-74 Rodríguez

lol whether it was warranted or not...the point deduction should be on the commentators unofficial scorecard....but I just saw a 10-9 round 7 on his card I'm pretty sure...nope I was wrong he scored it correctly

    Round 9

Duno sticks with what's working, walloping the body of Rodríguez, straying a little low a couple more times. Rodríguez down, unclear whether or not from a low blow. The referee holds audience with him and can tell Rodríguez has no desire to continue. Rodríguez quits! Ref waves!

    TKO9!

edit: nope, it was an accidental headbutt that caused Raul Caiz Jr. to halt the contest, so we're going to scorecards for a TD...

The confusion stemmed from the way Caiz waved his arm and shook his head no while gesturing with one hand toward Rodríguez to guide him back to his corner, usually the body language used when a ref rules a TKO and shepherds the defeated fighter away..
