GRJ is a guy with minus pro fights, he's fought bums and gone backwards if anything. You know there are levels in boxing right? Loma could've beaten up 24 bums, fought Ramirez and then Salido. What's the difference between 26 pro fights and 2 pro fights when those 2 pro fights are the only ones that mean anything?

That 24-0 guy is going to look foolish when he gets schooled and demolished by a 1-1 guy then won't he :yep

Where does Loma go if he ends up with a 1-2 record?

Where does a fighter go when he's world class and goes 26-2 after losing a title fight? I don't understand why people are so wrapped up in a number.

    GRJ is 24-0.

If he loses he will definitely not be fighting for a title in his next match..unless Loma commits some infraction.

    But, he won't lose.
    He will win by TKO.
Be wise and put $$$ on it. :yep:good

    Didn't Salido commit an infraction?

If Lomachenko decides not to make weight, outweighs GRJ by over 10 pounds on fight night, lowblows the **** out of GRJ, hugs out the last round after almost getting stopped by GRJ, and hangs on for an SD victory...... wouldn't you think that GRJ deserves another shot at the vacant title?

A fool and their money always part, go and put your life savings on GRJ :good

Like I said to your partner, boxing master Farmboxer, I saw both Loma and Saildo foul throughout the fight.

This is the Pros baby, where you cannot allow an opponent to keep fouling even when the ref ignores it.
    Protect yourself at ALL times!

Loma laid on Saildo all night and made it easy for him to foul. He was acting as if he actually liked getting hit low. :yep
Even the worst boxers I've seen don't like taking repeated low blows and always come back with a few low blows of their own.

If Russell is in a clinch with Loma, you can beat he won't be inactive, but working both body and head shots.

This is the Pros, not the amateurs. Foulings gonna happen.

I think once I saw Saildo reach down and downercut Loma in the calf while Loma just stood there watching.

Lomachenko is a focused athlete and sportsman, he expects the ref to do his job while he does his job. Some people have integrity believe it or not. Protect yourself at all times doesn't mean parrying low blows (which is what Lomachenko actually did on numerous occasions), it applies to legal punches. If a guy gets headbutted and hit behind the head you don't blame the fighter getting fouled, unless you're a complete idiot.

GRJ doesn't have an inside game or any real power, the gulf in class between who he has been fighting versus Lomachenko is going to leave him shellshocked. Which is a shame, as I've said I like GRJ' style and it would've been good if he had developed a bit more before being thrown in with the wolves. I guess you can't force someone to take risks, I hope GRJ changes his approach after he sees how poor it has been for setting him up at this level.

His holding actually assisted the fouling. I think he likes getting hit in the nuts. He never complained once and kept going back for more. :yep

Andre Ward, Tim Bradley and Winky Wright all had comparable KO percentages when they were at the stage where GRJ is at. GRJ has had 24 fights and has a sub 60% knockout ratio... you consider his opposition and that says a lot. He has hand speed, which allows you to catch opponents by surprise and make you look a lot more powerful than you are. The problem is he's been allowed to catch those guys by surprise because they are such low level boxers, not because GRJ is setting them up. The gulf in class is going to be huge and GRJ' predictability and lack of skill is going to leave him as a sitting duck. If Lomachenko has learned his lesson and comes in as aggressive as he was as an amateur, then I honestly won't be surprised to see a first round knockout. That might be the best thing for GRJ' career, he can write it off as a lucky punch. The longer it goes on for the uglier it's going to be for GRJ.

Perez had never fought anyone before though.

GRJ has speed when he flurries in range because of his midget arms, but his speed from distance isn't as impressive as people like to make out. If Lomachenko can't beat GRJ he may as well retire now, I honestly don't think GRJ is any better than Ramirez was.
