Flat fee is a joke and a sign they don't really want the fight. Why the hell would Canelo get all the upside? It makes best sense for all parties to have % splits.

Take it anyway.. Take an L on the money side but come out the champ and more PPV power.. He should take what he can to get Canelo in the ring...

 

You do know canelo took way less guarantee vs mayweather and cotto, right. I think it's around 5M or less for both fight. If it is not flat fee, the offer would be around 3M plus upside. In the end it will work out just about the same.

 

GGG could have took it instead of horsing around waiting to get old.

Let's have it right, Canelo has been swerving Golovkin so far and this is an offer below what Golovkin values himself at.

But as fans, we shouldn't care about any of the above. An offer has been made, we all want to see the fight above all else, we don't give two shits about either bank balance. We don't care what's best for either boxer. We just want the fight.

If Golovkin accepts the deal it brings us one step closer to the fight.
