Eddie Hearn has confirmed he will be announcing a world title fight for one of his stable this week. Brook injured, the IBF SBW champ Romero injured so it won't be Frampton. Bellew and Froch fighting in two weeks as is Groves. Hearn has nobody else at world level. He said last week in an article on the scene that he is in talks with Gary Shaw. Geale also tweeted that he expects to announce his next fight this week. I would say it's happening.

Geale wins in OZ and Barker wins in the UK.

Solid fight for Geale. Barker could be arguably tougher than Sturm and he's definitely better than Sylvester. Props to Geale for taking this if true and props to Barker going to fight him down under!

It probably will be in London, sky have never showed a fight live at 9 am on a Saturday morning and they won't start now. I think they will use the ashes in the summer to hype it up.

I think I remember reading Daniel Geale had until the start of August for this voluntary defence. That timeframe would fit in rather well with the ashes schedule.

If he can win in Germany TWICE against two top 5 ranked MW (at the time), then I don't see a problem in the UK if it goes to the cards, especially with Gary Shaw in Geale's corner.

Nothing to do with being robbed, Barker will get up more for this fight if its in the UK. Geale will struggle.

Geale would outwork Barker over the 12 rounds IMO, and I don't think Barker has the fire-power to get Geale out of there.
