I listened to Geale being interviewed on Friday and I got the impression that it will be Barker in the UK.
I may be wrong, have been plenty of times before :yep I think UK is the way to go if the fight is to be a stand alone event.

Golovkin is the most exciting middleweight right now (and maybe the best, why did Geale not fight him?) and already had main event shows in the USA
Also Barker is not a very exciting opponent, not even the best middleweight from UK. So all in all a good fight for Geale (by his standards) but not really an exciting one. I doubt it will be on HBO.

Because Geale could earn much more money defending against Mundine for much less risk.

Do you really need someone to explain that to you?

Wasnt Golovkin mandatory to Geale before GGG was champion?

But at the end we all know Geale wont fight Golovkin although it would be a great fight.

"But forget Mundine’s nonsense. This is about Geale (29-1, 15 KOs), a fine fighter who romped to victory in an encore to his upset split decision win against Felix Sturm (in Germany) in September to unify middleweight belts, even though he was forced to vacate one of the titles in order to take this big-money rematch with Mundine instead of facing Gennady Golovkin in a mandatory defense. "

Geale vacated a belt... We will never see this fight. Geale is ducking Golovkin just like almost every other middleweight.

:patsch No, only ******s like yourself that hang onto every word that comes out of GGG mouth THINK that. If you bothered to do your own research instead of listening to your fellow GGG ******s on this forum then you would know that the WBA are the reason that fight didn't happen. Why don't you take the time you use to troll the Aussie forum and dedicate that to a bit of researching about the situation, otherwise **** off.

Once again you demonstrate your inability to actually research. Geale didn't vacate the title, he was STRIPPED of it, dumb**** and it was announced at the WBA conference in November of last year, I believe. The WBA broke its own rules by giving Geale less than four months to defend the title against Golovkin as opposed to the mandatory 9 months, yet it granted many of its other champions such as Jones, WK, Chris Johns and others, extensions that sometimes left their mandatory waiting for two years at times.

No wonder people on this forum think Golovkin fans are brain-dead.

Nobody in the history of boxing would have done differently.

Fight an emerging weapon for peanuts..or fight a fading former opponent for millions.

No one in any other line of work would be questioned for doing that.

I already posted a source wich said that Golovkin was mandatory... why did Geale vacated his belt?:think I dont want to be a troll... I read that Golovkin was mandatory I also googled it today and found the source wich I posted above who also said that Golovkin was mandatory.

Here another source: "Geale chose to fight Mundine and give up the World Boxing Association (WBA) “Super” Middleweight Title rather than face Golovkin as was ordered by the WBA prior to Geale’s fight with Sturm."
    http://www.boxingnews24.com/2013/01/golovkin-talks-geale-sturm-and-march-30th-fight/
Golovkin was mandatory for Sturm and after Geale beat Sturm he was for Geale as far I know... Instead of fighting Barker (nothing special) Geale could fight Golovkin but we all know Golovkin is too risky. Golovkin-Geale is a fight with world wide interest. Geale-Barker not.

    But vacating your belt?:think
Also he could have his fight with Mundine after Golovkin. Also why is he not fighting Golovkin right now? Golovkin will face anyone. And this fight would be huge. But I stop making you guys upset. I am sorry.

FFS, you truly are clueless. Geale was STRIPPED of the belt, he didn't vacate it. How is Geale going to fight Golovkin when GGG is fighting in late June and Geale had been tied up with the IBF-Soliman situation and is fighting in August.???? Geale vs Barker is just as credible as Golovkin vs Macklin, fool. They're both Top 10 MW so shove it, dumb****.

They stripped him because Geale did not want to fight Golovkin although he was mandatory.:patsch Do you think they stripped him because they have fun doing so?
And you dont think both fighters could find a date for a unification fight?
Geale-Golovkin is a fight wich could happend already. (after and before the mundine fight) It depends on Geale. It all looks like Geale was just ducking Golovkin just like Sturm did. It is how it is. But there are always excuses. At the end we will never see that fight and we all know why. Just like Quilin saying the Golovkin fight "makes no sense" yet Quilin wants Geale:lol: And we all know why Quilin wants Geale and not Golovkin.:good
