Ok, this is just another SEMI- Mundine thread... just dont mention him!!!! What happens to Geale, if he wipes the cream from the cake??? Who does Geale fight in the next 12 months??? Who can he beat internationally, and mix it with accordingly after (beating Mundine)????
Well if Geale puts in a performance to beat Mundine (i don't think he will) then he should maybe look towards fighting Sturm. Geale has a weak chin and would be KTFO by both Abraham and Pavlik imo so he should stay well clear of them.
To the point flame...Dan just isnt progressing, I think he has reached as far as he can go and someone will knock him out soonish, especially a world class puncher...quite possibly Choc is this man. A difficult fight for anyone who doesnt have a sting to keep him fighting scared (even then Dan is pretty tricky when fighting conservatively). Top tier of the division is to strong...the next tier is weak and he may knock off a few names there but more then likely they knock him off instead.
The outcome should be quite clear already. Its just hopeful that Geale gives Mundine a good test, allowing the current title holders to get a better idea of his M/W form. The Taylor fight was impossible to guage anything, except timing. It would be great to see Geale make some good $$$ post this bout, and take a few O/S opponents to the cleaners along the way.
Sakio Bika.... Both fighters would want this. For Bika a fight finally and challenging for a title. For Geale elevation into international recognition with international class boxing and a big audiance.
The thing is if he really WANTED to he could be facing the elite like Pavlik etc but deep down he doesnt WANT to.. Pavlik is a way to rugged in your face guy for Mundine..Its a fact Mundine dont like the nitty gritty stuff and thats what a Pavlik fight would bring.
i think everyone here might or might not agree with me on this BUT if Choc was to fight a big name at middleweight and lost would anyone rip him apart for it? Sure he would get bagged here there but i think 100% of people would say Well least he took on a big name and gave it his all, Like the Kessler fight. No doubt in my mind everyone thinks higher of him for facing Kessler and standing there with a great fighter like Kessler but then the rematch came up and he ran and lost a lot of respect from people. Katsidis i know i am Bias but he takes on anyone, Win lose or draw the guy earns respect because he will stand toe to toe with anyone and give it his all.
Actually you are wrong. If Mundine was to get beat by an over the hill equivalent to Casamayor at M/W, than everybody would bag the **** out of him. Kats got beat and everybody praises him for fighting names in America (not saying that's wrong or right) Truth is i don't even like Mundine.
Mundine KO Geale round 8.....buy the way its very nice sitting at the pub in Airlie beach while all you Geale lovers dream of a win :hi:
