Geale would lose badly to GGG. I'd like to see Martinez, Murray, or Sturm fight GGG. Other fights are meaningless.

no he dropped it to fight mundine for big $$$
I wouldn't be surprised if he made more from that fight than Sylvester, sturm and golovkin combined

he had 2 belts, so dropping one wasn't a big deal
looks like a duck now though

at the end of the day boxing has ruined itself with all the cheap ass paper titles.
Marvin Hagler had to wait 4 or 5 years after he worked his way up in the ranking. he was begging for a shot at the champion, even got congress involved. Now you got guys turning down shots at titles every day...always looking for the easier belt holder. pick and choose from the 7 or so "champs" out there. Hagler begged and got on tv shows saying he was being ducked, where as guys like Andy lee will be getting his second shot for doing absolutely nothing. hell even junior middleweight Ishida got his second chance at 160 title and he was coming off back to back losses!
thanks boxing. guys dont fight the best because they simply dont have to

I'm not going to say Geale is ducking him just yet. Geale has been willing to take on anyone and everyone in the past, and this excuse is good enough to get him off for now. But GGG has 2-3 more fights this year after the April 26th. One of them needs to be Geale, or he has lost all credibility.

    :good
    spot on

the federations are the root of all evil in boxing
people can say 'he is ducking him..' and all that....but it's the absence of one governing federation that cheapens the belts, when there should be one champion and just one belt to covet per weight division

the public are easy to fool because every other sport has a 'world champion' and it means exactly that. but not boxing

I'm glad Kirkland ducked the fight. Honestly its good to know that his team is looking out for him, and not looking to cash him in for whatever they can get at the first opportunity.

A year from now, if he manages to keep his sh*t together , do 2-3 camps with Ann, moves up and takes a top20 MW scalp.. then I will say GGG-Kirkland is a great fight.

Making comeback and going from Tapia to GGG is insane. FFS at least let the guy have a fighting chance at rebuilding his career.

I read that HBO is going to put up some big money to get Golovkin a big name, probably Martinez after he knocks Cotto out..................I don't blame Geale for being afraid of Golovkin, Golovkin would destroy him.............

true, but its sort of bad timing too
geale was always gong to cash in with mundine after winning twice in Germany and now that sturm is holding a belt hostage again it won't see daylight outside of Germany

even if a Martinez fight gets made, i'd say the odds of Martinez getting injured during camp are pretty damn good

hard to have all sympathy for golovkin though...he calls out Floyd while ward calls out GGG...and he fights andy lee

there is a big fight for him if he wants it (ward), but he's sitting pretty at MW so I don't know if he wants to move up

Ward did not call out Golovkin.............Golovkin should do what Hagler did, keep fighting ofter at 160 and finally he will get a big fight.

Stevenson called out Ward live on HBO, said he would fight Ward at 175 or even come down to 168, but Ward is afraid, plus I heard Ward has problems with his promoter................Why is Ward so afraid of Stevenson, even at 168?!

    no it doesn't.

how can he be expected to fight when his fans and country can't even watch it?

its nobodies fault, its just one of things that prevents many big fights.
