He's clearly on a roll and operating on a level above old Bump-head, but does that seem a bit on the extreme end to anybody else?

The Bad Boy isn't a bad fighter at all. He really pushed eventual/current world titlist Baysangurov in what ought to have been a much tighter contest on the cards, and got caught cold in the opening minute by a known puncher in Kirkland. Otherwise it's been a respectable enough career for Albert, dotted with a couple of good wins at the shallow end of the world class pool.

Any chance Geale takes him lightly looking ahead to more lucrative challengers, leaving the door open for an upset by under-training? :think Is a cheeky little punt on Albert at 12/1 a sensible gamble?

Well, odds are down to how much people put on each guy. So a lot of people obviously put cash on Geale.

Geale by stoppage, he won't underestimate anyone, he's far to professional.

Do you consider him in the same league as Kirkland in punching? :think I see him as more of a volume guy, so a stoppage by accumulation is possible but he doesn't quite have the single blast to be sure of an early exit IMO.

He does always seem to come in top nick, though. :good

Geale is definitely not a one punch KO artist, don't think he ever will be.

Geale uses a good game plan and sticks with it. He doesn't get frustrated and always stays composed.
He has good angles, good speed (but not excellent), excellent stamina, and as you said, volume of punches. He wears his opponent down with the sheer number of bashes to the head. :yep

Geale reminds me most of Calzaghe.

This fight will be over in the second half, somewhere between 7 and 11.

    This. :good

Geale's camp picked this guy for a reason. He won't be a threat to Geale.

Eromosele Albert has only been stopped once in 30 odd fights and that was by Kirkland who stops most. Daniel Geale's workrate should see him to a comfortable UD in my opinion.

    Maybe...

Just remember my cautioning word that Albert is no bum...

Remember, too, that very similar things to what you just said were uttered about Lenny Zappavigna vs. Ameth Diaz...

When it's all said and done I'd probably not go for the 12/1 even with a smallish bet, and if forced to pick an outcome would say Geale by UD. A difficult night wouldn't shock me in the least, however. In fact, a contest about as close as the Sylvester one that could wind up going either way or a draw would surprise me less than Geale putting the kibosh. That would be a very impressive result.

You can't rely on the odds from oddschecker thay are not right most of the time Geale
real odds opened up at 14/1 I can see them being around 20/1 by fight time. Geale should win this by a one sided UD or later TKO.

Albert hasn't stopped too many. But you're always only one punch from disaster in this caper.

    Wow. Landslide. :yep

The odds definitely seem to be aligned with popular opinion.

Even Ameth Diaz got a couple of votes in the one-sided poll before shocking Zappa.

Granted, Ameth carries more dynamite than Eromosele...that wasn't supposed to have mattered, though. Everyone was SURE Lenny was on another level and could take his best shots...just as they seem SURE Daniel is on another level and won't have many rounds lifted from him...

Not me, whilst I like Lenny a lot, I think many people had him overrated a little.
Geale OTOH, is underrated by a few.

Geale will clean out the division over the next few years. :deal
