    "Fully clothed" is key there as he probably is right above his usual fight night weight level of 173-ish I believe?

    That is ****ing unheard of surely? Does he usually come in like that? He might have done it just to try to really hurl Cotto around for having the cajones to dictate some joke catchweight to him. Ortiz looked massive against Mayweather and that was 11 pounds. I know Rios and Broner used to take advantage too so I suppose they'd be along the lines of Geale's alleged weight here and maybe fat Chavez Jr. Cotto had the middleweight belt and rehydrated significantly against Mayweather and looked like a damn MW so he is within the range to defend the belt plus the limit he forced Geale to concede. If he fights Canelo he can expect Canelo to rehydrate massively like he did against Mayweather despite the two pounds.

    They never said he refused. They said it wasn't done. I don't find Cotto's weight important. He was obviously smaller.
    Gale weight was important because the weight drained allegations.
    Floyd doesn't weight in on fight night either
