What do you guys think Geale's strategy should be against Sturm to get victory?

IMO he has to have a very good workrate, throw lots and lots of punches. Sturm has a good jab and comes forward well with high hands, but I don't think he can KO let alone hurt Geale. If Geale throws many punches (and of course tries to land), then gives himself a chance on the cards (if not then reason to call rematch). I feel if he tries to hurt Sturm he may wait for his shots to much as can happen, then if it doesnt come he will fall behind.

Agreed, he needs effective pressure for 12 rounds. Don't give the judges a chance to steal it from him. He doesn't need a KO here as long as he keeps busy - footwork and pressure will do that for him, I also doubt Sturm has the tools to really hurt him.

Hey guys, the above is basically my plan.
I don't want to go into too much, but I think my volume and pressure is going to pay dividends. I also plan on throwing combinations from angles he may not be used to.
Felix is strong, and has a great upright stance and sits well behind his jab.
I plan on stepping around the jab and getting in and out and throwing bunches.

I think it's achievable for me, but he is class, has a better jab than me and is strong. He probably edges me in power too, but I know I will be busier, and throw more combo's on the night.
Fingers crossed and thanks for the support

Hit and move, dont stand and trade with Felix and Geale should win this no worries.

IMO, on points no probs at all. Not so if it was a Sauerland Prom officiated by his dodgy Austrian Commission.

    Go Gealy...well planned pro career

m8 Sauerland promoted the fight against Sebastian Sylvester and Geale won on the cards no worries in that fight.

judge: Berit Andreasen 110-118 | judge: Steve Epstein 118-110 | judge: Marcus McDonnell 118-112

In saying that, i dont dissagree with you that Sauerland is dodgy as fck.

I guess on that occasion, except for Sauerland's bum-boy judge Andreasen, the other 2 figured it's best to be honest from time to time.

fck i missed that, good eye Anton.. how the hell did Andreasen score it like that, he should be banned for life. If Sauerland has all judges like Andreasen in his pocket for this fight then Geales going to need a knockout to win.

thank fck for that. Three promoters sharing the same show, everyones got their hand in the pot by the looks of it, must be a big money fight for geale.
