Former world IBF 154 pound champion Roman “Made in Hell” Karmazin ( 40-3-2, 26 KOs) will travel to Sydney, Australia to clash with Daniel Geale ( 23-1, 14 KOs) over twelve rounds in an IBF eliminator on October 31.

Born in Kuznetsk, Russia, the 37-year-old Karmazin is now based in Los Angeles, California. He captured the IBF jr middleweight crown in 2005 when he clearly outscored Kasim Ouma over twelve rounds. In an upset, the 5’11 Karmazin was stopped in ten rounds by Alex Bunema in 2008, when it was reported he took the fight when suffering from a virus.

Former amateur star Daniel Geale, 5’10, suffered his only loss as a professional when he dropped a disputed twelve round decision to former WBA 168 pound champion Anthony Mundine in 2009 when nearly all boxing writers at ringside had Geale a clear winner.

In Geale’s most recent fight he stopped Kariz Kariuki in eleven rounds in 2010. Geale was born in Launceston, Tasmania but is now based in Sydney where he trains at the Grange gymnasium under the expert eye of Graham Shaw.

Zappavigna captured the IBO lightweight title in 2010 when he outscored Fernando Angulo over twelve. Lenny also holds a win over former IBF 130 pound champion Gairy St Claire.

should be a great boxing match, both slick skillful guys.

geale will need to watch out for karmazins power, he really gets low on his straight right, and he has a good lead in left hook.

aussie boxing looking up for once

Vic,Kat,Danny,Gealey,Zappa,Alex all look like being involved in some wicked fights.

No, dont think so josey. Geale is faster and a better boxer. I think Karmazin has more power but will be happy to box 12 rounds with geale.

Hopefully geale can keep on his toes, get in and get out without wearing to many punches from karmazin

It would be very "Un Australian of me" to bet against Geale Sox :yep

Marcus i think Roman will prove too powerful a test for Daniel , If a weak as **** Mundine can rock Geale on occasion then Roman will . don't be letting your heart do your bollocks again mate ..:good

He is 37, and pretty well evenly boxed 12 competitive rounds with S.S. So his last outing isnt that impressive. S.S is just a strong sligger imo.

I think Geale knows the importance of this fight and he will rise to the challenge. And i dont agree that Choc rocked Geale at all in there fight.

Sebastian Sylvester is a very under rated fighter imo Marcus he is a genuine ABC title holder and for Karmazin to be keeping things on an even keel with the likes of him ain't a feat to be sniffed at , Geale IF he were to win this fight will be one fight away from becoming a "TRUE" world champion but that would mean he would have to face Sylvester in Germany as i can't see the Champ ( taking it he don't lose to that Oral fella in the mean time ) defending it down under . Two Big asks off Geale , Karmazin late stoppage v Geale imo mate .

ill only worry about karmazin atm.

because its in australia i can only see it goin one of two ways.

geale buy wide points or a KO loss.

    :D
I'm with Marcus on this one, Geale has the tools to take this. Speed, angles and work rate will keep him ahead. He also has excellent composure.

Mandy never had Geale rocked at all, it was a flash knock down, much like when Calzaghe went down in the first with Jones & 'Nard.

I'm far more concerned with Geale fighting Sylvester in Germany. Not because he can't beat him, but because he can't win in Germany unless he runs him over with a tank.
