I like Geale a lot, and am not looking to criticize him after the great run he's been on...but if we're being totally honest Adama will be Geale's easiest night's work since Kariuki (maybe since Barbosa). Maybe it's just having seen a bit more of him as he's had substantial exposure on the American airwaves, and I don't really know how good a look you Aussies have gotten, or if any of his stuff is on Youtube - but trust me, he really just isn't very good at all. Worse than his record indicates. (it's very padded, although he does have some of the power suggested by his KO rate) Probably easier for Geale than Albert, definitely easier than Sylvester or Karmazin (who still had a bit left when Geale caught him, but was finished by the time Adama picked his bones).
They said on a boxing telecast here Karmazin was ahead on the cards when Adama KO'd him is that true??
common it was one fight, not 5 years. This guy beat Karziman, Karziman drew with Sylvester. Sylvester fought sweet fukc all to win the vacant IBF title. Look Geale is a good fighter, but over hyped on here. Based on the above this guy he is fighting is the best he has fought so far.
Now to be fair....If Mundine or Greeny were fighting this guy,use would eat it up,bag the **** of them...because quite frankly this guy has fought/beat no1,mandatory or not..But because its prince Geale,we shall all praise him... Just keeping it real with use all.
Now King Sol is a much, much better fight option...Soliman has been around the block, fought some of the best out there, and has a massive name in Melb,so money wise it also makes alot more sence...plus he has been ranked in the ibf middleweight top 10 for the past 5-7 years, without getting a title shot.
If Adama is the mandatory...he is the mandatory. I would have preferred he faced Sam first aswelll...then this fight would be more meaningful but it's been the 9 months and the mando is due. I think the IBF didn't really realise the logistics of it all when they floated this box off idea. Adama is more dangerous than Albert because he can actually hit a little and throws unconventional shots...guys have caught out Geale with that stuff before. But as most have pointed out he is a pretty flawed fighter...a bit of sparring with Bika should get Danny ready for this.
I could never fully understand theb "box off idea''. The possible results were Daniel fighting: 1. Albert, who he had already beaten in a shutout. 2. Karmazan, who he had previously stopped. 3. Soliman, who had lost 3 fights to Mundine. 4. Adama, who was the logical choice because of his IBF ranking.
