Definitely not happening...Chavez Jr. aint fighting Martinez next. Donaire just signed his contract for the Feb 4 bout vs Wilfredo Vazquez Jr. which is the co-feature to Chavez Jr.'s bout probably against Marco Antonio Rubio.
I don't quite get the whole Diamond Belt thing...maybe someone can explain it to me. But from what I gather it is basically saying the WBC think Sergio is a G and that he can fight who he chooses as long as he is promoting the WBC by defending this belt. So he doesn't drop it as soon as they try to enforce a mandatory that isn't worth him fighting, which happens all the time. Whereas Chavez still has to defend his green belt like any other championship, meeting mando commitments and such. Seeing Rubio is the no1 contender and quite possibly the mandatory, it's Chavez that has to defend against him. Basically more alphabet soup bull****...whether what I just said is on the money or not.
Solimans fighting Wood. http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/sam-soliman-to-take-on-garth-wood/story-e6frf9if-1226228928786 Sam thought that was what was happening too. Boxing politics.
Geale is dodging Soliman. The risk vs reward is not good for Geale. Soliman with his style has a good shot against Geale - dont care what Geale nuthuggers say.
Geale beats Soliman very easily in 2012 on points. A very ugly fight 118-110 or so. Zero chance Soliman wins. I definately don't want to see it.
