not sure how geale looked in his fight, and i dont know allot about his opponent, but do you think he has enough to beat chavez, a fighter i feel is there for the taking against any boxer who can fight off the back foot,
To be honest its a 50/50 split, guaranteed war though. Would like Geale to win though as he wouldnt duck Martinez, at least he says he wont
When will my man P Quillin enter the discourse...:-( I think Chavez Jr. would beat Geale. Both need to step out of the witness protection program.
slip, how do you think KC would respond to Geale's work rate? I mean, obviously the strategy is to catch him while leaping and flurrying in with straight counter punches - but how does he react, seeing that many punches coming at him that fast for the first time? :think Any chance he freezes up and maybe loses his cool?
Quillin doesn't claim to be a world champion, yet. Two stoppages of McEwan and Brinkley aren't too bad for a prospect.
I'm not particularly impressed with either of Quillin's wins (and giving him credit for "stopping" McEwan is rather generous). I don't really see why Geale should be held to a higher standard simply for holding a trinket (and even if you want to say belts matter, one defense at least was a mandatory so it can't really be held against him anyway). Both turned down a fight with Martinez last year, so that's a wash. Geale however at least made a good faith effort to get Pirog in the States, while Quillin turned down an initial offer for Lee.
Hey, I'm not saying he has set the world alight but McEwan/Brinkley are decent (no more) wins for a prospect. Geale calls himself a 'world champion' and knowing the Aussie commentators he's probably and "All Time Great" (like Tarver :hey). He's going held to a higher standard as there's a clear distinction between even a 'belt-holder' (I'm sure he doesn't refer to himself as that) and a 'prospect'.
Not really sure at this stage. It would no doubt be a war of attrition but Geale's workrate could just swing it his way but I do think that JCC is better than a lot suggest.
I think Chavez beats him. Admittedly, I haven't seen too much of Geale to perhaps warrant a proper argument but I just think he beats him to the punch and outclasses him for a points win. He needs a meaningful fight soon... enough of this fighting TBA in Mexico.
