Reported over at the scene that Roman Karmazin will face Daniel Geale in an IBF title eliminator at a date and venue yet to be decided. The bout has offically been sanctioned by the IBF. Karmazin says he is hopefull the fight will take place in russia. I think Geale would beat Karmazin regardless of location, too busy for him. Sylvester is due to defend his title on October 30th reportedly against Mahir Oral.

Very good opportunity for Geale & hope it comes off this time.

Will be a tough ask going to Russia most likely...but i think he can do it.
Grange would need to get some serious money together in 6 figures to get the fight to Australia.

Actually would like to see this at a neutral venue. Im guessing the Russian officals wld be almost as corrupt as the Aussie ones these days.

Bent German judges in their pomp would struggle alongside this current crop of Australian Boxing "authorities" mate . Good luck Danny .

You aint the only 1 pissed off mate.

Grange have no experience with getting their fighters fights past a regional title/fringe contender level.:deal

Apparently Grange have enough problems with their upcoming September FOX card & some late pullouts as it is.

Fought Kariuki 3 months ago Marcus, but I know where've you're coming from.

He was motoring along until nicely until the rematch with 'you-know-who' fell through. The screwing around he endured then seems to have cost him and Grange a lot of momentum.

Geale has to start fighting 4 times a year before he wastes his prime. Just seems to be going round in circles since the mandy fight.

    This is very interesting.

Roman certainly deserves another eliminator, having more than earned the decision against Sylvester in the eyes of most of us observers, but settling for a lousy draw.

If he loses this one, though, it's probably best he close the book with 2010. That's not an insult to Geale so much as the stark reality of where Karmazin is.
