To be fair, we do need to support our own, and Green and Mundine are two of our best boxers, even if Mundine is a complete wanker. But yes I agree, we also need to support our other boxers, particularly those that may be equally as good (or better) as Green/Mundine, and there's plenty of them. I can't stand they guy, though I do recognise that he is a good boxer and a good all round athlete. I also think he is moderately overrated, and that is a cause of his own mouth and of course the gullible public. For the life of me I can't understand anyone who could like him, he's anything but a man.
Calzaghe ducking mundine :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Mundine run to 160 because he was scared of kessler ffs :yep :yep who calzaghe beat. What would joe get out of beating a nobody like mundine ???????? :huh
Not a lot.....But OZ could die Happy....:happy :happy :happy :happy Doesn't that count for something???
Calzaghe is ducking Mundine ? :rofl :rofl :rofl Green would have smashed Woods ? :rofl :rofl :rofl your talking **** mate , Mundine (paper champ ) , Danny Green ( reitired rather than defend his proper strap ) and don't even suggest Sammy Soliman is still world class mate , if you rate these these guys as your best then your ****ed , i would put Froch v Mundine in a heart beat and have a decent punt on Froch winning . Green retired rather than defend against decent opposition and is coming back for another payday v Mandy ( Cant fault him for that though ) and dont even suggest that Sam Soliman is still world class , Dib is an ok prospect as is kickett but Katsidis is just another Ko waiting to happen , talk sense man :bbb .
Mate you are completely 100% correct, Britian absolutely shits all over Australasia in boxing. Reason is pretty simple, standard of life is much higher down under therefore normal people have no need to don the gloves. Mexico is prime example, ****s need to fight just to get a feed, no wonder they are great fighters. P.S Notice not many scandivnavian countries have great fighters? apart from Kessler that is The better the fighter the lower the standard of living in that country :deal
Its a big fish, little pond mentality that ****s up Boxing here. As long as your the Champion of Oceania, your the man.
Ain't that the truth Kel , Its easy to get into the silk pygamas lifestyle but as a kid my old man taught me how to box just in case i ever had to sleep naked , the Uk standard of living has dropped in recent years but this is down to our **** poor imigration policies . whatever happens in the UK in terms of these matters usually happens down under 10-20 years down the pipe , i suggest you teach your sons to avoid slik pygamas :good
come on you heared that Joker analyst on the footie show say it was so and you belived it ,,,Is Tiger Teke in disguise ?
Im an Aussie you whinging pom :deal NZ would smash Wales in sport that's for sure :deal If league and union didnt have a strangle hold on most male athletes in this country and NZ you guys would be in serious trouble with boxing :deal
What a load of shite. Its common knowledge that Oceania aint got the social dynamics, the trainers or the infrastructure, and the talent. Its not like Oz has a real history in the sport or the history of say.....Wales that even though small produces decent fighters. And as for backbone and bottle.........we should leave it there I think.
Go on name me the conveyer belt of prime fighters that have come out of here???? And on a sociological note, how can a nation host a World cup final, with the host nation competing, and be out numbered? Always intrested me.
You've missed my pt mate, im referring to league and union in relation to your talent call. Sociological note umm i dont know but im sure your quest to find the answer will continue.
Being competitive in one sport doesnt mean you could be good at another. Britain has a large union and league following but still produce great boxers. Looking at the Aussie Rugby pack, Im not sure their that scary. Matt Dunning aint leaving no one in shellshock.
