"Geale rejected a $US150,000 ($A192,100) offer to meet Abraham last year after his management decided to negotiate for a bout against Mundine. "We told the Mundine camp we'd reject the Abraham offer if they would fight us," said Geale's manager Bill Tracey." Got this from an Aussie website. After figuring out that Pavlik's last (mandatory) opponent got about US $250k, I think that $150k for Geale is an ok offer nowdays for a voluntary defence at 160...
depends how many tickets he sells. nah just kidding ha. im gonna hazard a guess at around no more than 100k.. closer to 50.
I'd be surprised if Geale gets more than about 100K to fight Mundine because the bottom line in that no one outside of genuine boxing fans know who the hell he is.It's obvious why Geales team didn't fight Abraham because he would get a brutal KO off Abraham and fighting an old weight drained Choc is a much more winnable fight for Geale although i still believe Mundine wins.
