How good or bad is Geales chin ? I was browsing boxrec the other day and noticed he's been put down 5 times in 4 seperate fights by less than stellar opponents a few year back

Obviously he's been fighting much better guys recentley and has'nt had any probs so im wondering from those who saw the fights or are in the know what was the cause of these knock downs ? slip's, over aggression, fatigue, body shots, weak chin ?

Not great but it shouldn't be tested against Sturm to be honest. I'd worry big time for Geale if he was facing Golovkin. He wasn't sharp mentally a bit and too relaxed when Mundine dropped him at the start of the 2nd but he has become a much improved fighter.

Sturm has good power behind his shots but he isnt a KO puncher and doesnt seek it though he had Murray in some trouble and beat up Zbik

I wouldnt expect Geale to taste canvas in this one

Sturm's jab is freakishly accurate and its not just a scoring jab, its hard and fast. It busted Zbik up real bad and made him quit on his stool.

Sturm has got power, he had Macklin and Murray out on their feet in the last round of both them fights and he destroyed Zbik to be fair.

It will come back to haunt him eventually...I've seen him in trouble more than once but his conditioning assists him in recovering pretty quickly.

    Geales chin is fine.
Many fighters have been caught at some stage of their career by silly shots that they shouldn't have.

He's always bounced straight back up and recovered almost immediately, which is what's important.

The best way to have a good chin is not get hit there. Daniel Geale will need to keep the defence nice and tidy against Sturm, but you'd expect that from him anyway.

    thanks for the question.
My chin is certified Jello, I will go down atleast 3 times against Sturm, most likely not answering the bell for the 9th

His chin is gonna be tested this weekend...
Sturm has under rated power.. He hits fairly hard, and as someone said, His jab is brutal..

Sturm has sneaky power that doesnt get enough respect... he has one of those sledge hammer Euro jabs
