Well, there's the big russian Deontay is fighting. One who was shot
when he was blasted out against Helenius FFS. And in Alabama?
I've never recalled a single fight on even FnF being in that state.
Do they even have a city with a venue that could host a fight?
Surely HBO isn't desperate enough to put this drek on. Wilder's
handlers have no confidence in him whatsoever. It's hard to fathom
him ever being an olympic medalist judging by how his pro career has
    gone.

What do you think of Wilder, talent wise?

it is the main event of a Showtime triple header. It is on ShowBox they often have cards that are worse than Friday Night Fight level :patsch

Not much. He's big and wild swinging. His chin is suspect. Essentially
just a 3-4 round fighter. If he can't take out sergei in those rounds
he could be in for a long night, and maybe himself get stopped late.

was thinking that sergei wasn't that "shot" after recalling the helenius fight (wherein he had his moments and that was Helenius pre majory shoulder injury), but then i recalled the jennings fight and.... white wolf might indeed be shot

Helinius destroyed Lyahkovich! Lyahkovich is done for, he can't take a punch, has zero stamina, been beaten to a pulp, surprised he is not punch drunk. Jennings beat him. Vlad toyed with Wilder while sparring for the Wach fight. Wilder knows he has not chance vs. a good fighter. Let's see him fight Pulev. Wilder refused to fight Thompson, good thing he chickened out of that fight!

You mean those handlers that had a fight lined up with Chisora? & the same ones who've been trying to get him fights with fury, Price, and Jennings?

Yeah, you're right. They obviously have no faith in him at all.

A bunch of yapping on twitter isn't "trying to get him fights", people like you are fooled by the act so easily.

Wilder is content to windmill away at shot to **** fighters like Liahkovich and have his team pay off others to take dives.

If people are saying wilder could get stopped himself how can you then go on to say its a bad match up...makes no sense. It is a bad match up but only because it's another easy win for wilder.

It's heavyweight boxing, anyone can get knocked out and you don't even need a bad chin for it. I think it's a bad match up because they want to promote him as the new thing in boxing but they never match him so he can show it (or prove it false). Either they should match him against someone who's got a name in boxing or just stop the hype.

I respect a guy like Price way more for stepping up and losing then I respect a guy who fights girls and bums.

Say what you will bout Liakovich, but he's got a solid beard, good power, and knows how to avoid long wild punches.

This is by farrrrrrr the best fight Wilder has made and I'll give him props if he takes it and wins it.

Even this faded Liakovich< any verison of Audley Harrison.

If Wilder beats Liakovich, maybe he can get the confidence to fight Witherspoon, Tiggy, or Oquendo.

All 3 of those fights would be decent lateral moves from Sergei.:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

Are you serious? Valuev had no problem landing on him, as did Helenius. Good power? He has a 53% KO percentage, and has never KO'd anyone anyone above a C level journeymen level.

This is an absolute no risk fight for Wilder. He doesn't need lateral move fights either, it's time to truly step up and fight someone that can punch back and not fall over like a mannequin.
