Last night I saw a new middleweight star on HBO Genady Golovkin who impressed me greatly with his calm demeanor and great two handed punching power. Built like a former great MW Freddie Steele...What say you ESB ?

Kinda like Pirog last year, a lot of people are getting carried away with GGG.

If he beats Geale, at best I'd say he's the outstanding challenger to the winner of Martinez-Chavez.

If he beats Geale and the winner of Chavez-Martinez, I'll be on board.

Jeez, so he basically has to unify the division for you to give him a chance

a chance to be called a MW superstar? yeah he has to at the very least beat the number 1 in the division. geale is a stepping stone because he's ranked above him anyways.

Beating Pirog, Geale, Chavez, or Martinez next would be good enough for me. Even if he drops one along the way, who cares? Boxers lose. Lets hope these guys will fight him though :verysad

"middleweight STAR" Is it so bad for him to be the number 1 guy in the division before jumping on the hype train and saying he's the greatest thing since sliced bread?

    He's a star already :nono

I was thinking more along the lines of needing to beat at least 2 of those guys to be considered tops in the division.

Who cares if he loses to Geale? If he is as good as you tards are trying to say then he shouldn't lose to any of those guy esp not Pirog or Geale. And beating Geale is enough for you? So what's your opinion of Anthony Mundine who already beat Geale?
