Pacquiao-Marquez 2 and 3 had media, fans, and fighters split almost down the middle. The media, fans, and fighters for Bradley I and Horn were a landslide in favor of Pacquiao. See the difference, numb nuts?

Pacquiao also never failed a drug test, yet of the three, Floyd was caught using illegal IV fluids and JMM hired a PED expert. Irrefutable facts.

    :deal:

Pacquiao's shoulder was messed up. A world class surgeon confirmed the significant tear and performed surgery. Pacquiao re-injured it in camp, hence the sudden stop in training/sparring as confirmed by many. And Ellerbe hinted at it also leading up to the fight. Hence why he requested a Toradol shot and was denied (while Floyd got a TUE for his illegal IV fluids).

Floyd rejected VADA, the drug test penalties, and used illegal IV fluids.

    :deal:

The simple fact that Floyd accused of McGregor of cheating through IV fluids, even calling them illegal, and somehow that doesn't compute for you means your brain is ****ing defective!

    :jump:

It's a fun fact that the Nelson fight happened the day after Griffin-Roy I, and the announcers went out of their way to mention that and (rightfully) give Chicanito credit for gutting through the fight and not accepting the completely justifiable DQ win he could have. That tells anyone all they need to know about his heart.

Historically, I don't think he's an easy out for most, but it's tough for me to favor him over best of the best; I don't think I'd favor him over any of the 130 pound Hall members (prime Nelson included), but that doesn't mean he couldn't knock off a Mcguigan on the right night. Chicanito was legit. That said, I'm torn on what happens if Freitas and Casamayor fights had come off.

The modern fight I'd really love to see is him vs Berchelt. I think thatd be a cracking clash of styles, the levels pair up nicely, and the mentality of them would leave it with FOTY written all over it. Tank would've been interesting as well, and a fight I'd favor Chicanito in. He'd do just fine in today's 130 pound division IMO.

Yeah, Hernandez would definitely hold a belt in today's 130lbs for sure. Berchelt would probably be the toughest ask out of the current batch of champions, though a motivated Tank fight could present some issues for Chicanito if he elected to stand his ground. But I think Chicanito at his best could probably do enough to shade both in both in entertaining fights.

Hernandez probably manages to equal the effort of a Campbell or a Pedraza, bagging three or four rounds against Loma. You'd probably have to make Loma a heavy favorite, but Chicanito isn't an easy out.

I do think Arguello, JCC, Mayweather (obviously) handle Chicanito clearly. Hernandez-Nelson would be an interesting quality-quantity matchup. Pac's an interesting match-up since I think Hernadez could just manage to do what Morales did in the first fight. After that, you have guys like Brian Mitchell, who are in the second tier of HOF caliber fighters at 130lbs. Don't dislike Hernandez's chances against fighters at that level.

In a sense, it's too bad, Genero wasn't around during the ferocious four era of Chacon., Limon, Boza and Navarette. He'd have fit in well, have definitely won his share (probably more) and would have been more highly regarded historically as a result.

Horn pac was a close fight so was Bradley horn pac didnt dominate either man. A robbery is pea-jcc neither of those fights are robberies.

You're right pac never failed a drug test but was against it when the fight with pbf came up in fact he ducked pbf because of it. One could speculate all they want to but the fact is none ever failed.

If pacs shoulder was ****ed up then postpone the fight. He then checked healthy on the form and used both hands in the fight. It's an excuse period. Like i said many fighters have surgeries after fights like wilder for example but i dont see you making excuses for him.

He said what he said about ivs because he had gotten caught with an iv and had to deal with the nsac that's why.

This is quite a throwback thread. When I first joined the forum Mayweather bashing threads were all the rage.

Bashing AND loving both. I'm just glad posters like bigtime69, ripcity, michiganwarrior and a few other Floyd die hards left when he retired. Which was predictable.

Mayweather has shown himself to be one of the best fighters of all time, you talk about the shape Genero was in coming into the fight he was the #1 rated Lineal Champ and still beating top 10/5 SFWs. In his entire career he only lost to Floyd and Oscar 2 certified no question ATGs. That’s not just ANYBODY,
Between the Hoya fight and Mayweather fight Hernandez had like 7 fights going unbeaten and beating 3 current of future Champs at 130 that don’t sound bad to me.

Haha, Pac ducked Floyd. If Pac requested Floyd take a random test imposed by himself while he and his camp screamed Floyd was on PEDs to everyone, I'm sure Floyd would have obliged instantly :D, since Floyd is so nice and easy to deal with.

He wanted Mosley and De La Hoya for years. Mosley had a tooth ache and needed holiday. He fought De La Hoya at a weight he (Mayweather) was not comfortable at.

    As for Berrera?

Also quite a few people here bring up Tsyzu. Did you follow boxing at the time?
Tsyzu and Gatti wanted to get in the ring with each other. Fans were clamoring over it. At that time Gatti was a huge name and a bigger name than Mayweather was (at that time). Both kept bringing each others name up. Fight never happened because HBO and Showtime.

So did those two duck each other?

Why do they get a pass and Mayweather doesn't. Is he immune to televised issues/promotional issues that prevent fights from happening? When your under contract with HBO/Showtime, they become your boss. You don't bring them up as an excuse to the public without retaliation from your boss.

Get your facts straight. Your post is straight up embarrassing.

Can everybody knock it off please with all the horrible threads y'all are making of late? Just because you're cooped up indoors doesn't mean you have to clog the drain here with bad content. If you're bored, just watch the first three fights of the Márquez–Vázquez rivalry. Don't make threads, unless you know your threads are good. (you'll know because you'll have been told you make good threads by a forum heavyweight such as myself, and well over 95% of you haven't ever been told anything like that).
