    Just received an e-mail that Genero had cancer, but no mention of what kind or stage.

    Can anyone shed some light?

    That really REALLY sucks. Genero Hernandez is one of the classiest fighters to have ever stepped into the ring. I can only wish him well.

    Just e-mailed, he has a "rare" head and neck cancer.

    Didn't mention what stage.

    Great fighter.

    Loved his fight commentary, for Top Rank I think.

    He's always on the broadcast for bigtime fights.
