Good fighter. Won quite a few title bouts. Was only beaten by Oscar and Floyd when they were coming into their own ( though Floyd was still pretty green. ) what are your opinions of him.

Never a dominant guy, but had a couple nice wins over Azumah Nelson and Raul Perez. Perez was WAY above his optimal fighting weight and Nelson was 206 years old, but nice names. Seems he was quite a gentleman, and the sort boxing should have been proud to have among its champions.

Thanks for the input. I agree about the gentleman part.

    Good, but not great fighter.

Was dominated by A-class fighters Oscar and Floyd, just like Gatti. In his prime he was a bit better than Gatti though

    Was a legit champion.

Not just a paper belt holder.

Very skilled, great ring general but not blessed with a lot of superior physical gifts. A fighters' fighter.

General Hernandez had real bad problems with his hands. That affected him considerably throughout his career.
