    Seeing Fullmer stick and move is like watching a nun have sex. It seems unbelievable but there it is on film in black and white...

    Fullmer might edge out an ugly win. Lamotta is a more gifted fighter but he blew hot and cold.

    I think D-ick Tiger would handle both,

    but I pick Fullmer in this one. I think he edges out a decision, especially over 15 rounds. Jake seemed to have a bit of a stamina problem, and stamina was certainly one of Fullmer's strong suits. Jake probably had slightly better whiskers, but I don't think either punches hard enough to expect to KO the other.

    I will skip nun comparisons, but Fullmer does seem to me to be boxing's platypus. When the first reports reached London the experts dismissed the whole idea as a hoax, until a speciman was shipped over and they could see it with their own eyes. Most experts would probably also doubt Fullmer ever existed, except we have the film.
