Beterbiev is as strong as they come no doubt ,however i think tunney counters him and outboxes him comftorably. You need speed to catch tunney the way dempsey caught him clean. Beterbiev does not have that asset. Especially that tunney was in way better condition than beterbiev is. Beterbiev has the power to stop Tunney but lacking the speed to catch him cleanly With all that being said Tunney Late stoppage
Tunney was a great boxer/fighter and clever. He has to be very wary of Beterbiev's power, but can outsmart Artur for a decision win.
Tunney took hits from Dempsey while he was at the end of his career, I think a prime Tunney can take shots from Artur and clown him to a UD. He can take the shots and his ring IQ was excellent
Tunney does get over rated on most all time heavyweight lists, but maybe the pendulum is starting to swing a bit too far the other way on this forum?
How do you come to this conclusion? Tunney's superior conditioning and better movement give Beterbeiv issues on the surface of it, but when you see that Beterbeiv struggled with Gvozdyk's footwork when he still had his legs, it's clear that this ain't a clean cut, easy fight like you implied. Tunney also beat the prime out of the greatest swarmer of all time. He kept Dempsey at arm's length and took his power. He'd beat do the same with the methodical, fairly limited Beterbeiv.
