Tunney by KO or winning every single round.

Quarry was never even a top 5 fighter.

Tunney, speed bothered Quarry ,Tunney had it, in his hands, and feet.

Tunney stops Quarry by cuts, totally outboxes him. Quarry couldn't beat fast, technically sound fighters.

Horrible matchup for Quarry. Look what happened to him vs old Machen, Ellis, Ali.

Just on the point about speed, it is interesting though that Quarry's best results were against Patterson who is no slouch in the speed department. I know he has the Shavers and Lyle fights also, but Patterson was a better fighter than both of them and Quarry was competitive with him, twice. Strange, Really.

Floyd had fast hands, he did not have quick feet, he was there to tag, hence he was down a lot.

Tunney was down once in 68 fights,he did not stay around to ship shots.

Patterson won both fights against Quarry. Furthermore Patterson didn't really have fast feet. In the hand speed department he is probably faster then Tunney but I think it's also about movement as well. Quarry couldn't handle movement.

Tunney was unproven against any top Hvywt. Because of this, Quarry by UD or late KO.

I think Quarry was unproven against this kind of opponent more then tunney, to be honest. Tunney beat greb and dempsey. while Quarry failed to look good against Ali, Machen, and Ellis. Plus this is just a terrible style match up for Quarry.

Still, Tunney was unproven against top flight Heavys, not the case with Quarry, win or lose.

Quarry was proven against slow moving, hard hitting heavyweights. I don't see how that is even relevant to this match. Whenever Quarry fought someone who could move and was fast, he was less then impressive. Tunney at least has beat Greb and Dempsey who I consider better then Quarry.
